We had the good fortune of connecting with D Kirk KV and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi D, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Some the habits I’d say help me succeed are setting time aside to record and make music, talk with other motivated artist and friends who genuinely support my art and brand which allows me to focus on the future, as budgeting ventures and opportunities and listing which ones I can do in the mean time and goals I have for the future.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hey guys it’s D Kirk KV and to get where I am today took a lot of hard work focus and just working to get better at the craft of being a musician artist daily whether listening to beats experimenting with different sounds or just being around positive people who supported my career and goals. It was definitely not easy I overcame these challenges by making time for myself at nights or early mornings to get my head cleansed with positive thoughts and honesty just having fun with it experimenting. I also took it one day at a time life can be a lot balancing music and daily life so just setting a standard and go at each daily makes the full picture come to life. lessons I’ve learned is that sometimes to go with your heart sometimes people aren’t going to like everything you do but its ultimately about doing those things because you love to do them as long as you love your art people will respect it because your being authentic to you. Also that sometimes you have to make things happen yourself you can’t wait on others to do everything. And for my brand I want people to know that D Kirk KV is and artist who really makes music for people to enjoy life feel free a sense of happiness good energy and just all the emotion either happy break ups party fun or just feel good music a balance of it all and inspire people that you can make any sound of music you want different being different is a blessing not a curse.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d say definitely take them to a couple different spots in Philadelphia such as liberty place downtown Philly or if I’m in Atlanta take them to the different music events and studios as well as awesome restaurants in that area. People wise I’d say see like seafood spots like rays in the city in atl and maybe visit landmark around the area since it’s such a deep root of music and history in Atlanta and Philly
