Meet Cut Beetlez | DJ & Producer -duo.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cut Beetlez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cut Beetlez, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
Eventually both of us hopefully will make living out of our music and art, but the main goal remains to make as creative music as possible and keep the process interesting. we do this regardless, but earning some would free up time to do what we love the most.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We think the main thing that separates us from most is that we put art and creativity first and that we dont make compromises. we draw inspiration from turntablism and tools we use to make music (instruments, everyday sounds from household items and life in general and such) we think music as an conversation to be had about living and feeling things … we constantly try to open our minds to find new ways to express ourselves and thats the driving force to this thing. we are always most hyped up about the project we are making in at the time. Of cource there are some landmarks on the way that we praise… DJ premier and Chuck D playing our tracks on their shows, Great album rewiev in MOJO…. all the compliments and support we have had from our fans, it means the world! some of our albums that have done really well like Monkeyman and What Beetlez. We hope same to all of our albums.
We got where we are right now by just believing in our vision… like if we thinks this is good enough to be presented, why wouldnt somebody else. its continuous work, but year by year we get more recognition and apreciation for our work. theres still a long way to go, but aint nobody but us taking those steps for us!
On the Way learned that nothing is certain. Sometimes unexpected things might happen whether its anticipated of not. We want people to know that we are dead serious with this and you will hear from us whether you want it or not.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Jay will take you to sauna, and maybe fishing and grilling outside depending on the weather. HP will take you to his favourite coffee place cafetoria to enjoy some delicious ristrettos and maybe see some art exhibition if theres any good out there at the time. we both can take you to a road trip to hossa, where we will eat the fish we catch.. eat berries, mushrooms etc we cather on the way we change fishing spots, well cook the fish on open fire with butter and salt and a sip of henny on the side…you will see a lot of trees and lakes on this trip. also might stop on the way on few stores to buy some records.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First to King Dion to linking us up with you guys! Biggest shout out goes to Oxygen (MC Just Divine) who was a fire starter to our recognition. The whole music family we have been blessed to gather around us… all the artists we have collaborated with over the years, you know who you are!! Those who dont can go check our catalogue to see some of them) Thanks all the independent labels that paid interest in us and all the radio DJ`s and content creators giving us some shine! To our families and love ones, you mean the most. To KOO introducing us. To hukka and Mo Money for being always there.
