We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Spellman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Crystal, what principle do you value most?
Treating people the way I want to be treated is a principal that I have lived by for as long as I can remember. It is important to me because it helps me cultivate positive, respectful, and mutually beneficial relationships both personally and professionally. It costs nothing to be nice to your fellow man or woman. I believe in Karma therefore, I do my best to put good into the world.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Spellman Consulting Group experience is all about giving you the best that we’ve got. We understand that every individual or organization has unique needs and challenges. This is why we assess where you are currently and tailor our solutions to fit your specific needs. We ensure that our clients are involved and have full visibility into all aspects of each engagement from start to finish. If there are any changes to the plan, you will be the first to know. We take care of you as if you were family, and you will feel that way throughout the entire engagement. Our goal is to get the desired results for you, and we work tirelessly until we achieve those results. With Spellman Consulting Group, you can rest assured that you are in good hands.
In 2023, we have assisted several small businesses with business readiness and obtaining their minority business enterprise (MBE) certifications which positions them for success. Being a small business and assisting other small businesses achieve their certification goals is something that we are excited about. We look forward to assisting more small businesses in 2024.
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’ve made it this far because of God’s grace and mercy and my continual willingness to listen and learn. As you reach different levels, there is more to learn.
I have learned that it is important to build relationships before you need them.
There will always be challenges and usually there is a lesson in all of it. I always keep a positive mindset, and tailor my approach to move past the challenge. I also have mentors that I call on that provide guidance to help get me through the challenges faced.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is so much to do in Atlanta! When friends are in town, we will usually go to a place that they have heard about and want to check out. Rest assured, the itinerary will include food, fun, and music.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I thank God. If not for his grace and mercy, I don’t know where I would be. I am also thankful to my family for their support over the years and always believing in me. I have mentors that have been with me, coached and supported me throughout my entrepreneurial journey. I am forever grateful for their guidance and wisdom over the years. Entrepreneurship is not easy! Mentors Matter.
