We had the good fortune of connecting with Cristina Arias and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cristina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Before starting my own business, my thoughts were divided into two fundamental things. On the one hand, I wanted to be an economic support for my parents and leave a legacy for my children, something that would allow them to have a better and more stable life. But on the other hand, I was struggling with my own depression, and I didn’t know how to manage it. Anxiety and uncertainty consumed me, and I didn’t see a clear way out.
But then, something changed. I started to realize that cleaning, something I had always done intuitively, could be an escape for me. It allowed me to focus on creating clean and organized environments, and leave behind the depressive thoughts that haunted me. Without realizing it, I was creating a business that would not only help me, but also benefit others.
So, with the combination of those two thoughts, I decided to take the leap and start my cleaning business. It’s been a challenging path, but also very rewarding. It’s allowed me to not only be an economic support for my parents and leave a legacy for my children, but also to overcome my depression and find a purpose in life. And that’s something I can’t value enough.
And that’s when APC CLEANING SERVICES began.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart from other cleaning businesses is our passion and dedication to what we do. We don’t just focus on cleaning spaces, but on creating environments that convey calmness, tranquility, and peace. Every space we clean is an opportunity to make someone happy, and that’s what motivates us to keep going.
I’m very proud to have built a business that’s not just a money-maker, but also a way to express our family values. Our team at Apc Cleaning Services is committed to excellence and attention to detail, and that’s reflected in the work we do every day.
Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy. I’ve had several businesses before that didn’t achieve the success I hoped for, but each one was a valuable lesson that allowed me to grow and learn. Now, I can say that I’m exactly where I want to be, doing what I love and helping others achieve their goals.
I’m excited to think about the future of our business and the opportunities that will arise. I’m excited to think that one day I’ll be able to leave a legacy for my children and repay all the effort and support my husband and parents have given me. I’m excited to think that we can continue helping vacation rental property managers increase their income through good reviews and homeowners who trust us to clean their homes.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Monday I would take her to an exciting slow day at the High museum of Atlanta, followed by a delicious lunch in one of the many exceptional restaurant in Buford hwy.
Tuesday for lunch I would take my friend to enjoy a massage together to one of my favorite places in Doraville, Buford hwy “Treat your feet – Doraville” follow by a warm drink and coffee at the bakery Paris Baguette and enjoy the quiet pleasures of desserts after massage.
Thursday We will be going to explore one of my favorite local plazas Decatur square that is full locally owned business where we can find anything you could be looking for for this holiday season.
For a fun weekend full of dancing, we would be visiting Eclipse D Luna, that not only is delicious Latin food cuisine but also offers Latin dancing lessons and after hours events.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Celia Martínez, my mentor and guide in the world of professional cleaning. She not only taught me the basics and techniques to start cleaning effectively, but also provided me with support and motivation during my most difficult time, when I was struggling with depression.
Her influence and wisdom were instrumental in helping me find my way and turn my passion into a thriving business.
But I couldn’t forget my family, who have been my rock and source of inspiration from the beginning.
My parents, sister, and husband have always been present, supporting and encouraging me every step of the way.
I can proudly say that this business is a family business, built on values of love, respect, and dedication.
Our goal is not just to clean spaces, but to create safe and welcoming environments for people who, like me, may be going through difficult times.
I want to thank my family for their unconditional love and support, and Celia for being a source of inspiration and wisdom in my life..
