We had the good fortune of connecting with Coytani Umble | “LexxiCharm” and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Coytani, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the business idea for The Charm Agency and Lexxi Charm as a result of my personal transformation journey. I realized that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and I wanted to create a platform where people could showcase their unique beauty and feel empowered. Growing up, I was inspired by the strong and beautiful women around me, and I wanted to share that inspiration with others. The Charm Agency evolved from the original concept of Lexxi Charm Models, and has become a motto-driven business that reflects my values and vision. At The Charm Agency, we believe that everyone deserves to feel confident, beautiful, and empowered. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our clients, and helping them embrace their unique beauty. Join me in this journey to empower and inspire others.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets my business apart from others is my genuine care for individuals and my passion for empowering people. I believe that my business is not just for myself, but for others as well. My ultimate goal is to utilize my talent to help individuals achieve their goals and make their situation better.
What I am most proud of and excited about is the next phase in my life. I see what God has already set for me and I am excited to continue walking in the light and following the path that he has set for me. Additionally, I am proud of being able to provide financial stability for my family, particularly my father. By purchasing an 18-wheeler truck for my father, I have been able to create generational wealth for my family and change the trajectory of my father’s career.
Getting to where I am today in my business has not been easy. I have faced challenges such as people calling me a scammer or doubting my business model. However, I have persevered because of my passion and belief in my business. I know that God has a plan for me and I follow his light, knowing that there is treasure at the end of the tunnel.
Ultimately, I want the world to know that my business is not just about making money, but about empowering individuals and making a positive impact on their lives. I am committed to using my talents and abilities to help others achieve their goals and make their situation better.
Through my experiences, I’ve learned that you can’t always trust people and it’s important to be mindful of how you navigate situations in order to protect yourself. Nowadays, it seems like everyone is focused on themselves and that’s okay. If someone is solely focused on themselves and not interested in collaboration or bettering others, then it’s best to distance yourself from them. However, I want to make it clear that I will never compromise my values or step on others just to get ahead. I believe in collaboration and supporting others, and I think there’s great potential for us to accomplish great things if we work together.
I want to take this opportunity to share that my business is built around my passion for helping women. I am not doing this just for the sake of doing it; I am doing it because I believe in it and I know that I can make a positive impact in their lives. I am confident that I am uniquely qualified to help women in a way that no one else can. I am dedicated to serving others and making a difference. In my opinion, the only way to succeed in this world is by focusing on how you can help others. If you’re not doing that, then what’s the point?
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
f my friend was visiting me in Atlanta, I would invite them to stay with me at the Crib, located in the historic West End neighborhood. From there, we could explore some of the popular areas of the city. On Friday evening, we could head to the Edgewood neighborhood for a drink at Joystick Gamebar, followed by dinner at the Busy Bee Cafe, which is a local institution and serves up delicious Southern comfort food.
On Saturday, we could start the day with brunch at the West Egg Cafe, located in the up-and-coming West Midtown area. From there, we could check out the Beltline, a popular walking trail that connects several neighborhoods and has lots of street art, parks, and restaurants along the way. I would also suggest visiting the Ponce City Market, which is a mixed-use development that houses shops, restaurants, and offices. We could grab a drink at the Skyline Park, which has great views of the city.
In the evening, we could head to the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood for dinner at the Staplehouse, which has received numerous accolades for its food and service. After dinner, we could check out the nightlife scene at the Sound Table, a popular bar and nightclub that has live music and DJs.
On Sunday, we could start the day with a visit to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, which includes several sites related to the civil rights leader’s life and legacy. From there, we could head to the Virginia-Highland neighborhood for brunch at Murphy’s, which is a favorite spot among locals. Finally, we could end our weekend with a visit to the High Museum of Art, which has a great collection of contemporary and classic art.
As a local leader in the city, I would also share with my friend the importance of supporting local businesses and engaging in civic activities. I would encourage them to visit the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, which has been a gathering place for community members and entrepreneurs for over 90 years. Additionally, I would suggest attending a community meeting or event to learn more about the issues facing the city and how they can get involved.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe all my success to God, who has given me strength, guidance, and wisdom through my toughest moments. My parents also played a huge role in shaping me as a person, with their love and encouragement. I’m grateful to be part of a mentorship group like EYL University (formerly Recession Proof Extreme), and to have taken courses that have helped me grow. I also credit the book ‘Think and Grow Rich’ for teaching me about the importance of investing in the right things and making smart financial decisions.
