We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Pack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
That I lived in the moment with unconditional love, did my very best, lived with no regrets, and created a self-care platform with quality products that people would talk about for a lifetime. I want the community to always be reminded of the importance of self-preservation and how much I held that close to my heart. That I was a LOVING mother and wife, and a protector of my family’s hearts and well-being. How much I showed up within my craft selfless, giving, available, and passionate. I also want the community to be reminded of how I truly LIVED by the name of my business, and how I promised to show up Beautiful, Happy, and Healed. Most of all, that BeautyHappinessHealing LLC was a MOVEMENT for all women, beyond what our eyes could see, that included a journey of self-care, healing, support, and self-worth.

What should our readers know about your business?
Beauty.Happiness.Healing LLC started in my kitchen after realizing that a handful of store-bought lotions and creams were not sufficient, (and experiencing a major hives outbreak). I then sought out different natural remedies to moisturize and improve my own skin, experimenting with organic ingredients that target problem areas and sensitive skin. In the beginning, my inspiration came from studying the lack of self-care habits from my mother, (who passed away from a stress-related heart attack), and I knew that I wanted to create a platform where women can have access to all things “self-care”. Which is why the platform is more than skincare, as we have partnered with various powerhouse women in the industry to discuss self-preservation and mental wellness, providing women (and sometimes men) with resources on how to raise their self-care awareness. We also strongly believe in empowering our communities, and our most recent shea butter partnership is a dynamic one with North Shea. Northshea is committed to providing a stable livelihood to women living in rural Ghana by providing direct avenues for income and is handcrafted by incredible and hardworking local Ghanaian women. We are so very honored and proud to have them as our supplier, and whenever a purchase is made, a life is changed. Beauty.Happiness.Healing LLC’s mission is to break the barriers that interfere with healing, self care, taking time for self, and being present. Our skincare is not only vegan and cruelty-free with locally sourced ingredients, but it is an experience from beginning to end. We also believe in connecting with sustainable businesses to build relationships with and continue to tell stories through our creativity and passion. These are the things that we love and strive for. The road to getting to where I am business-wise has been both blissful and gut-wrenching. There are moments when I may not have but $50 to my name, even negative accounts, and I STILL get up and keep pushing, planning, hand-crafting, creating, all things that are aligned with the business. I never let any downfalls turn me away from thriving, and I believe that is where “cut from a different cloth” comes in. A long time ago, I used be in a place where I HAD to know the results of everything happening around me, otherwise I wouldn’t proceed. If I couldn’t see it, I didn’t move, and shortly after that my views on this journey changed. I had to learn something very valuable during that time in my life, and the number one lesson was that I cannot control my own destiny, I can only WORK through it in alignment and integration. Once I let that grip loose, the blessings started flowing in genuinely, and the doors started to open up organically.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite spots here in Atlanta, GA are Tassilis Raw Reality (the kale wraps here are unmatched), Viva La Vegan (the “chili cheese” fries are my FAVORITE), Desta Ethiopian, and Negril Cafe (they also have an upper level with live music!), KATS Cafe (for an intimate experience with live music), Six Feet Under (bomb seafood bar and grill) My favorite places to visit for hanging out and drinks are Ponce City Market (the rooftop is AMAZING), Little Five Points area (I’m a sucker for crystal shops and a dope pair of sneakers), and Edgewood Avenue (the entire strip).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The entire BeautyHappinessHealing LLC community deserves credit and recognition in my story. I CONSTANTLY receive encouraging words via email, social media, and text messages from those who have come in contact with myself and the business. Each and every time, the messages include how much I am valued and needed, how the products have helped them heal skin issues they’d been dealing with for quite some time, and how appreciative they are of how passionate I am about my craft and the wellness of human beings. BeautyHappinessHealing LLC would not be where it is now without this support and overflow of love, and I am SO grateful to be surrounded by the immense amount of energy.
