We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I saw that digital media was beginning to take off. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video must be priceless. I’m a videographer and wanted to capture priceless moments in time. My dad basically was an inspiration. He’s a photographer. I just chose the other side of the spectrum with videography. When I was choosing the name, I choose my grandmother’s initials. They spell E.A.T: Elizabeth Anderson Taylor. That’s her name. She also inspired me and taught me a lot. She was a staple in my life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Where I am from, there aren’t many videographers. I got to where I am now by word of mouth, my work ethic, and reputation. People are always getting married, and it has started to be more of a demand for videographers. That keeps me busy because they’re not many videographers like I mentioned before. So I stay busy and able to stay with work.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Savannah, GA, to a spot called “The Grove”. It’s the perfect location to eat, drink, and be social. It’s in downtown Savannah. It’s a beautiful, historic city. The Grove is a perfect location to experience the south and all it has to offer. They have a wonderful rooftop bar with an amazing view. The drinks are really good. The food is great and not too expensive. A few blocks over is an adult playground and rooftop garden. That place as well has refreshing drinks. So Savannah, more in particular, River Street, is an amazing place to take someone to and explore.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my dad. He is a photographer and opened up the door for me in the digital world. Since I was 7, my dad always had cameras around. He would often get me to take photos of our family at gatherings when he couldn’t. That’s when I was able to start practicing with equipment. My dad tends to buy the best quality cameras so I’ve always had hand own experiences with nice cameras and began to learn to use high quality equipment.
