We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My vision was to provide a relaxing, positive atmosphere for women, men and children to come unwind and feel good about themselves while also providing excellent customer service.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I knew from the age of 13 that cosmetology would be my field of interest. I love to see people smile and feeling good about themselves so I take pride in that. I have advanced in my career by working hard and being dedicated to not only learning but teaching as well. I’ve learned in this industry that a little care and concern will take you far. I would like to world to know that Couture Hair Studio is all about healthy hair, whether that be natural, relaxed or colored. I’m all about the integrity of your hair and catering to your individual needs.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m more so of a chill girl, so I’d like a good lounge or the aquarium. Maybe find a few poetry spots, some good food and good company
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would really like to thank my family for supporting me through this journey in life. For seeing the greatness in me and pushing me to exceed that.
