We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Berry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I didn’t pursue the creative career the creative career chose me! I have done just about ever job I thought I loved. Until, I started Bar Toppers GA!! I became filled with creative ideas and new things to make constantly., My eyes started seeing everything with new life and a new purpose. My brain started creating things I never thought I could. Truly the best career path for me to take

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We specialize in custom glass cutting. Bar Toppers GA take what others would see as trash and turns it into something beautiful like a soy candle or terrarium planter. Our Moto is “repurpose, recycle, reuse.” we try to reuse every piece of a glass bottle we can! We have taken many sentimental anniversary bottles and given them new life as a candle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Myself being born and raised in GA, we would start the day in the beautiful downtown Marietta, GA. Tour the city and go visit Kennesaw Mountain and all its beautiful scenes. Then throughout the week we would do our best to take to all the hot spots in the ATL. Must see is Little 5 Points!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give most credit to my parents because they made me but along the way I have had some true supporters and encouragement from my tribe. Let’s start with my partner in life, Stephen, my rock and constant support. Whether sanding bottles beside me, keeping our two children out of the garage so I can work or helping with daily household duties. My best friends, Ashley who is the creative marketing genius who has had a HUGE part of Bar Toppers GA from start to now. Dorothy who will stop by on her lunch break to help me sand bottles because my arm will fall off and all the words of encouragement to keep going. My tribe has gotten much smaller due to the COVID pandemic but they truly have helped me and helped Bar Toppers GA success!!
