We had the good fortune of connecting with Corey S. Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corey S., what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
This is a great question because I’m currently starting a new company and I believe every start-up should have a root motive. It’s the only thing that can validate all the work and sacrifice it’ll take in the process of building it.
This will be the 3rd business I’ve started in 11 years. Same industry, bigger vision:
“I want to help the world and empower coaches through sci-tech : By 2030 one million lives will be changed through the programs we’re building, the coaches I’m hiring and the partnerships we’re making”
The fitness industry is an industry that will always be here. I’ve been able to provide for myself for over 11 years now soley from teaching people to kill weakness and find strength through health and wellness, now I‘ll expand on that gift with help others through technology.
My version of philanthropy will look different but will hit the same. The goal is to help the ones after me, and continue to serve the world. With the help of others, I’m building a literal digital dojo that will house life changing programs taught by life changing individuals. It’s time to step forward into this new wold, with new ideas and new energy. This is the wave we’re on as a community.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
“We use wellness and technology to connect disenfranchised communities to their highest self. Our programs offer a sustainable solution to mind, body, and health anytime, anywhere.”
We’re building a platform that will enable users to outsource some of the most innovative and progressive programs in holistic health and wellness, all virtually.
Upon my return from my 8 month stay in Cambodia in 2019, I, like everyone else was forced to adjust to a new world impacted by covid. I was able to see a world that needed access to a healing that many can provide but are unable to administer. This is what inspired me to create.
We’re in a day and age where you can make 6 figures working 25 hours a week, and my goal is to get more young, ambitious leaders and teachers of light in that same position.
I’m currently still in the hiring process and continually interviewing light workers and health leaders that are ready to engage and embark on a new plane.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are many ways to spend time in Atlanta. It’s all about your lifestyle…The perfect day would look something like this:
A sunrise walk on the beltline followed by an acia bowl at playa bowl.
Meditation at the botanical garden followed by an oat milk latte at the cafe.
Lunch at Tissaili’s Raw cafe (punany wrap), followed by some holistic purchases from Wadada.
Dinner at La Bilboquet (reservations only) or dope HipHop vibes at a speak easy (TheJamesRoom) – gotta know how to access the secret door.
Nothing late night, as rest is essential, but if you have the munchies, there’s only one place after hours – R. Thomas Deluxe Grille.
The weekends are for recovery.. but if you have the itch to explore, I’d suggest the following:
Sunrise hike at Stone Mountain
Some thrifting in little five
Massages at JeJu spa
Dinner at Sotto Sotto
Any extra time should be spent..
Riding bikes on the silver comet.
Exploring art at High Museum
Or sunbathing at Piedmont
Atlanta is anything you want it to be, this is how I do the city
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to God. While I’ve had some amazing helpers in my life and amazing relationships that have molded me, I can always remember who was there when others weren’t, and who I was talking to when at times it felt like the world was no longer listening.
As an entrepreneur, you’ll either know God entering into this thing, or find him along the way, because the top is very very very lonely, and the world, unforgiving.
Special shoutout to ALL of my new business partners and supporters in this season of my life. The local businesses’ and the brands, I appreciate the partnerships making the next 10 years possible!
