Meet Corban Mosher | Worship Artist & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Corban Mosher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corban, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Creativity through music has been a passion of mine throughout my entire life. I was raised in the church, & so worship services were a regular part of my routine. I remember listening to my favorite songs in my room as a kid, and I think those moments really awakened my heart to the fact that music would be my future.
My career is honestly in the very beginning stages, and I have so much to learn. I’m currently studying music at Southeastern University because I believe that it’s important to invest in the gifts and talents that God has given me. I want whatever music I put out to be art worth listening to- that really resonates with my audience!
Being a creative is truly one of the biggest joys of my life, and I’m so grateful that I have the opportunity to pursue this career!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think that as a worship artist, being set apart looks like being humble! I truly believe that I have been given the opportunity to steward the songs of the Church, and that is a gift that comes from God. I try to not think any higher of myself than others, even though I might be on a platform or stage. It’s not always easy, but I just have seen such blessing in humility and loving other people genuinely.
I also think that hard work is the ONLY way to succeed. Obviously there is an element of musical talent that I recognize makes it easy for me to learn in this career, but I am not a freak of nature in that, and so I have had to put a lot of work into my craft. Investing in what I’m passionate about has been worth every minute, dollar, and frustration!
My brand and story will hopefully continue to be that I am genuinely so happy to be here, and that people are my passion! Especially in a Christian Music career, I want to portray genuine love like Jesus did.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay, I’m a total coffee addict, so I have to recommend every coffee shop ever haha! I work at Cips Coffee Roasters on my school breaks, and so I’m a huge fan of them. Also, Gusto in the Avalon shopping center always hits the spot!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would LOVE to shoutout Cross Church Atlanta. I’ve grown up attending Cross since middle school, and it has meant the world to me. Getting to learn and grow through the mentorship of their staff has shaped me into not only a creative, but also a genuine follower of Jesus. Getting to sing and lead the congregation years later has been the coolest experience. We’re also writing and releasing music that has had significant impacts on the lives of our church family.
