We had the good fortune of connecting with Conor Sea and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Conor, why did you pursue a creative career?
Ever since I was a young boy I was always drawn to the artistic side of life. My dad is an artist so I was always surrounded by creative people and things. Starting as a kid I was always pushed to express myself through art. I think I carried that mentality into my adult life and coloring hair. I love the freedom I have and the excitement of working in a creative space.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a hair colorist with a focus on blonding, styling and wedding hair. I have been in the industry for over 10 years now and have really started to excel in my industry. It hasn’t been easy, nothing was handed to me which has made me work really hard for everything I have. Social media has been a major key in my success. Also never giving up even when other people didn’t believe in me!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ahhh! I love this. I would obviously start by taking them to my favorite area in downtown Alpharetta. Have cocktails and appetizers at Taffers tavern and then walk over to either Holmes or pure for dinner.

I would make sure to take them to the Avalon as well for a fun day of shopping and dining.

Maybe stop by the belt line for drinks and then brunch at two urban licks!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A man names Steve Hightower. He was the first person I truly worked under and for in my profession. He taught me not only things that I use everyday behind the chair but also major life lessons that have made me a better person to this day. His kind spirit and hard work ethic have been a major role in my career today.
