We had the good fortune of connecting with Coach T Flow Flowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Coach T Flow, what do you attribute your success to?
My weightloss journey is the most important factor behind my success. Losing over 100lbs naturally taught me so much about discipline, consistency and sacrifice. Applying these attributes to my fitness business has definitely put me on the right track.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a super creative at heart and I cross brand my talents to accommodate my brands. I shoot my own video ad’s for my gym and do my brand photography pictures. I come from the streets, this business world is new to me so it was a adjustment period for me. One of the main difficulties in business was getting the funding. In my former life, I could make some moves and in a couple of weeks I would”ve had plenty to start a business. With this new approach it took strategic planning and saving for me to be able to purchase rental property and start my gym 4.0 Fitness. Starting a business or being an entrepreneur is just like a fitness journey. You get out what you put into it. If you spend time working to build your brand in a strategic way eventually you will have a break through. I was able to lose over 100 lbs naturally, I’ve had films featured in Film Festivals and I’m a community activist. Never give up on your dreams, use your talent and experiences to build your brand and always give back to the community who supported you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Columbus is home to Ft Benning and a lot of activities are geared to soldiers and their families. We’re also located on the Chattahoochee River which runs from North Georgia to the Gulf Of Mexico. So if a friend of mines visited my city I’d probably play catch up Day 1 and take my friend site seeing the world famous chattahoochee riverwalk, ft. benning museum that night we’d hit my favorite drinking hole at CJ’s Wing and Things. Day 2, we’d hit some hiking trails in nearby Pine Mountain and after the hiking trip we’d stop by Wynnton Pitt for some soul food. Players pool hall would be on the agenda for night 2 just hanging out and catching up. I’d get up Day 3 and me and my friend would hit the river for a day of fishing. The river is full of fish this time of year so I’d expect to clean up. That night we would go to the Suite Bar n Grill and enjoy the vibe with live music and karaoke. Last Day, we would have a workout session at my gym 4.o Fitness, eat brunch at First Watch, return to the riverwalk to do the obstacle course and zip line courses. Grab us some Chester’s Barbecue and slide back the the crib until its time to kick rocks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
