Meet Coach KB Hoskie | Owner of Ready To Live Soap Experience and Ready to Live Coaching

We had the good fortune of connecting with Coach KB Hoskie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Coach KB, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I would always put myself in the category of a dynamic woman. One that has a heart of gold, and ambition that can move mountains. I always had a passion to help people but never knew how that looked from an entrepreneur standpoint. In 2022, I was laid off from my dream 6 figure job and went through a lot of depression. Being a Mindset Coach, I knew I had to change my mindset, and move forward no matter what. I meditated and prayed every day. I’ve always been a creative person, and have had many wild visions. One was learning how to make natural soap. I had bought all the ingredients to start but life and this new dream job took my time away. So, during my depression, my guy was like, ” I know you’ve been sad but go downstairs and start making soaps. I was like, I don’t want to make any soaps, I’m depressed and I need a job. Not realizing that God was setting all this up. I wiped my tears, went downstairs, and start making soap. This process was therapeutic for me and took me out of a really dark place. A light bulb went off in my head, and I wondered if soap-making helped me, and how many other people can I help. At that moment, I decided to make a decision to live for myself and to help as many people as possible, and not go back to Corporate America. I decided to put all of that sad energy, hard work, and passion into my business. I relaunched my coaching business to Ready to Live coaching focusing on Mindset and Manifestation Coaching. I also started Ready To Live Soaps Experience, where I combined Mindset Coaching with Soap Making. Ready to Live Soaps, is an immersive interactive soap-making experience with great vibes, wine tasting, and great music. I have been booked consistently since I opened my new location in Castleberry Hill in November 2022. My interactive Soap Making Experience has been a hit here in Atlanta with customers from all over coming to the experience. I removed my fear and stepped out on faith, and now I am a business owner of not one but two successful businesses. From working out of my kitchen to my own studio in less than 6 months, shows how faith. determination and dedication can go a long way. I am the definition of what these past couple of years have been all about: finding your passion, going after it, and letting nothing stop you. I have been in business for a little less than a year, and have already surpassed my 1-year goal mark. I have also linked with many community leaders to help our community. I have given hundreds of unused soaps to local shelters, and homeless advocates to keep the less fortunate clean. Stating the motto: A Clean Mind, Creates a Clean Lifestyle. My mission to give back will always be a priority.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Ready to Live Soaps is a unique experience where guests get the opportunity to create their own customized all-natural soap. Perfect for a date night or a night out with friends or family. No experience is necessary, and we provide all the materials to craft 2 scent-filled bars of soap. You will be guided by a certified soap artisan as you craft a one-of-a-kind soap creation while enjoying great music, great convo, and wine tasting. Chose the experience that’s best for you and your guest. The experience can be tailored for Date Night, Girl’s Night, Launch Parties, Baby Showers, Team Building, Sweet 16, and many more. We deliver a complete fun-packed experience with our packages. We started out selling homemade soap in different locations and events around Atlanta. With the love and support of our customers, we were able to grow into what you see today. We opened our new location in 2022 in Atlanta, GA near the Mercedes Benz Stadium. We are happy to help our guests create beautiful soap creations and lasting memories. Each experience at Ready to Live Soaps is unique; from a variety of molds and fragrances to choose from too enthusiastic instructors. Each time Ready to Live Soaps handles your event it is always a guaranteed good time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Monday- We will eat at Milk and Honey, and enjoy a fried lobster. We will go to Atlantic Station to do some shopping and catch a movie. Tuesday- We will enjoy Taco Tuesday at Velvet Taco, go to Main Event for some fun and laser tag.
Wednesday- We will get some drinks, food, and fun at Painted Duck
Thursday- We would book a DJ experience at Scratchoutloud
Friday- We will pre-game at Cigar City, and then go to Republic for R&B Fridays
Saturday- We will go have an impromptu photoshoot with Victory Photography. Then we will go to Ready to Live Soap Experience and make homemade soaps, of course, have a hookah, and great drinks.
Sunday- Check out a candlemaking class at the Koncept House in Castleberry Hill

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I will like to Shout Out my soul tribe for pushing me at my weakest moments. My partner Jason, my mother Mawakana, my children (Kaya, Niya, Imani, and RJ), my brother Kwesi, my best friend Semajia, and my cousin Lomax. All these people paved a way to my success and they deserve all the praise.
