We had the good fortune of connecting with CJ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CJ, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always wanted to offer my artistic talents to people. With Callisto Captured It, I turned my visions into reality.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Initially, I was doing both graphic design and photography as hobbies. My passion for photography grew, and in 2015 I decided to pursue it more and treated as a business.

To address the second part of the question, I feel like every photographer have their own style of work. I think a couple of things that set me apart from others is I’m a one man army lol. When it comes to the creativity, styling and executing of the photography sessions it’s all me.
If a client comes to me with a full package, and it aligns with my business, I’m going to make sure that I exceed their expectations. Nothing matters to me more than having satisfied clients and building a good rapport.

I don’t look at it as easy or difficult. It’s all about what you do and how you move when running a business. One thing I have learned is you have to keep moving. There’s no time to chill if you want to be successful at anything.

I’d like the world to know that as long as you put your best foot forward, nothing or no one can distract you from being successful. My brand shows our clients at their best. They are our main focus and keeps me going with delivering great imagery each session.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are definitely a lot of nice places to go to around Atlanta. It’s really hard to narrow the options down. However, here are some of my fun places I’d take my best friend to.

• Andretti
• East Atlanta Village
• Pappadeaux

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a special shoutout to my wife for being so supportive throughout this journey.
