We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy Mohammed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cindy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Trinidad born and raised living outside my country. It was important to represent my Caribbean culture. I decided to start a live show that would highlight my culture. I found a disconnect from the public getting to know who we are. Everyone knows the Carnival side, but there are so many parts to Caribbean people. My vision was to highlight Caribbean entrepreneurs, artists, etc., so the public would know their story and connect with them more.

I became a Broadcast personality for the Caribbean. The Trini Cindy Live show has been running consistently every Sunday at 8 pm est on Instagram and streams live on the Soca World app. I also have a podcast, “Talk Dat Ting,” produced by Crown Town records; you can also catch the same show on Instagram on my podcast.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Having a son with autism gave me a chance to see the world differently. I decided to take the holistic route with my son and today he is striving. I was amazed by changing his diet, detoxing his body the changes I saw in him. I decided to become an integrative nutrition health coach after divorce I decided to become a Zumba instructor I needed to find myself dancing helped me open myself to feel free I started teaching Socafitness at the Universities here.I am now bringing plant-based cooking classes, reiki energy, life coaching “finding your flow “ I want women to find their happiness to feel free to be who they want to be..

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Morrows
Blue crab
Vegan snack shack
Queen Trini Lisa (trini food )
Addis Nola Ethiopian food
Fritai (Haitian)
Bennachin African food
