We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy Divert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cindy, what are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by knowing that my words inspire other introverts to get out of their comfort zone and to be self aware that introversion is a personality trait, it does not define who you are. I’m also inspired when I see others who have read my blogs and the impact has been so profound that it has allowed them to seek resources/tools to be a better human. I believe I have been put on this earth to inspire others on their healing journey while keeping myself accountable to continue to seek healing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a blogger and a podcaster entitled Introverted Queen. I started a blog in 2016 to share my views about social issues and to share my story with the world. I started a podcast in 2019 and came out with three episodes. I lost my dad in the fall of 2019 and discovered that having a purpose in life was essential to surviving in tough times. I re launched my podcast in 2021 and I am currently almost at the end of season three. My purpose is to inspire others, especially introverts, to come out of their comfort zone and be bold. I want to empower introverts and also show the world that we are so much more than misconceptions that are shown in the media.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love my city, Toronto Canada. It has so much culture, diversity, pride and icons. The food culture is amazing and I would take them to my favorite Jamaican spot and have a Jamaican patty – a Toronto icon. We would have a drink at a bar in the Manulife Centre with a spectacular view of the city. We would stroll on Bloor street and hang out in the posh areas and window shop at Prada.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am dedicating this shoutout to my life coach and long time friend, Chantha Nhem.
