We had the good fortune of connecting with Ciao Bella Boutique and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I pretty much started Ciao Bella during the pandemic. It was a difficult time with no job and since I had just graduated from college I was having a hard time navigating my next steps. I have always had a love for clothing and even during the pandemic I would always come up with ideas to create cute outfits. Eventually I decided that I loved clothes and style so much that I may as well sell them and I’ve been happy with that decision ever since. Ciao Bella is an urban clothing brand that caters to both men and women. Whether you want something for a night out, or simply adding to your streetwear collection, I wanted to make my brand available for all ages, shapes and sizes.

It was hard trying to fund my business with little to no employment. However, I had also started a virtual homework business and had just gotten hired at a hospital which allowed me to use my savings to fund my business. It was definitely risky, however, sometimes taking risks is just what we need to get something started. I’d want the world to know that if you have a dream, it is attainable. Even if you have no experience, if it’s something you want to do, do it and enjoy it while you can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to plan a trip with my best friend, we would definitely be in Downtown Atlanta and the Brookhaven area. To jumpstart the week, we would go to enjoy the festivities at Trap Museum and then to the Daquiri bar Cirque for lunch and drinks. They also have a selfie museum at GirlBossHeadquaters which we would have to go see for picture purposes! For shopping, I prefer Lenox mall for something more dressy and luxurious to wear and Atlantic Starion to find some shoes and accessories. For a casual bite to eat, US Cafe is nice and simple however, Big Daddy’s Kitchen will always be a favorite. Once the weekend rolls around, we would definitely party at Penthouse, they never have any problems, just a great time. We would go to brunch at The Toast in Lenox because they have great food, music and drinks. Harold’s Chicken and Ice Bar or Traffik Lounge for more of a chill yet fun vibe as well. Let’s just say we would be everywhere in the city!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I will always thank God for allowing me to make it this far. My family, friends, and especially my supporters who have always pushed me, even when I felt like I wasn’t enough they always made sure that I recognize to never let up. My team of photographers (jwoods and nicedidit), content creators (sicasso) and my beautiful models, I know that I would not have come this far if it was not for them.
