We had the good fortune of connecting with Christie Jean and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christie, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose this modeling path because it was something I wanted to pursue since I was a little girl and prove to myself that you can start modeling at any age. I also wanted to pursue this path to show other women that you can succeed in the industry without compromising yourself. With discipline and the right people behind you, it’s achievable.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Certainly! I am a multi-published petite model here in metro Atlanta. I started my modeling career in November 2022. When I started this journey, I had the mindset of taking a more creative approach to pictures as soon as I mastered posing techniques. I also wanted to pursue modeling in a more modest way to show women they can still be beautiful and artistic without showing too much cleavage all the time.

After joining and completing the Christian Model Association course, I’ve been attending modeling events to network with other models and photographers and to further diversify my portfolio.

My modeling journey hasn’t been easy. Mainly because I’m modeling part time, but also because I’m still learning to be more confident behind the camera.

The lessons I’ve learned thus far are to always be yourself, don’t be afraid to look silly at a shoot, and speak up if you are uncomfortable because, at the end of the day, the shoot is about you. Just remain respectful, and everything will be fine.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend to Atlantic Station. I love the outdoor mall feeling too it. The area is clean and it has nice restaurants around the clothing stores. I love pasta and pizza so I would go to their California pizza kitchen again because I enjoyed the food there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize my older brother for never knocking my dreams down. My mom for supporting me on this journey as well. I also appreciate my model sisters from the Christian Model Association for hyping me up every time I reach a milestone and share my photoshoot pictures.
