Meet Chris Thomas | Founder of Yonder a Brand + Growth Agency.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
As the legendary philosopher, Kenny Rogers once wisely said,
“You got to know when to hold ’em and know when to fold ’em.”
When the going gets tough in business, it’s not just a challenge; it’s a learning experience.
Every stumble isn’t a failure, it’s a lesson.
As my Nanny used to say every Saturday morning,
‘Honey, if you’re gonna make biscuits, you’re gonna get flour on you. It’s all part of the experience of making something amazing.’ And by the way, my Nanny’s biscuits were unreal, but her life advice was even better.
Your greatest potential is on the other side of I QUIT…

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey has been as unexpected as a harmonica solo at an opera. I started as a full-time harmonica player, got a front-row seat to the magic of arena shows, and found myself in situations as surprising as Forrest Gump’s adventures. My next chapter was in megachurches, focusing on creating welcoming, non-judgmental spaces. This experience led to my first tech breakthrough: designing a groundbreaking touchscreen banking app prototype.
These diverse experiences paved my way to becoming a global head of product development and marketing in a Fortune 100 company, teaching me the importance of balancing creativity with ROI.
Now, at Yonder Agency, we guide people on their journeys, blending art and strategy to navigate the complex digital world. We’re here to chart new paths, inspire, and make every experience memorable and meaningful.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d hit the golf course for the day, then enjoy some brisket at 441 South in Canton, Ga. All wrapped up with hanging out somewhere with a patio or deck drinking sweet tea and talking about the good ole days…you know the late 1900’s.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Life’s journey is filled with twists and turns, but my guiding star has been my incredible wife. About five years ago, I was in the corporate world, living that typical life climbing the corporate ladder, comfortably yet unfulfilled. I had made it to the top. I was the Global Head of Product development & Marketing for a Fortune 100 company.
I shared with my wife my dream of starting my own agency, of building something from the ground up. Her belief in me was the foundation of Yonder Agency’s success. She didn’t just support my dream, she pushed me towards it. She was the one who told me to take the leap, to chase the horizon. So, to my wife, the unsung hero in my story, the one who makes every achievement sweeter and every setback bearable – this shoutout is for you. Without your trust and encouragement, Yonder Agency would still be a ‘what if’ instead of the thriving reality it is today.
