We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Hill II and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe with great risk comes great reward. I’ve always been one to take risks because I never wanted to wonder “what if?”. Taking risks has played a huge role in my career as a personal trainer. I recently took a risk right after obtaining my masters from Georgia Southern University. After two years of personal training in Statesboro , Ga. I decided to move to Atlanta , Ga to be a full time personal trainer, which would mean starting completely over from scratch. However I was willing to take the risk of starting over in a new city in order to reach my goals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the CEO of Changeover Fitness. I’m a certified fitness trainer who is committed to helping individuals change their overall health through exercise & nutrition! When an individual decides to come train with me they will get a trainer who has had a lifelong passion and love for fitness. My clients will get someone who they have access to 24/7 in regards to assisting with their fitness questions and goals. They can also expect to gain a better understanding of holistic wellness, mental toughness, and how to apply it to their daily life. I’m very excited about this next transition to Atlanta and I’m eager to see my business and clientele grow. When someone thinks of Changeover Fitness, I want them to see an individual who is extremely passionate, highly motivated , committed, and educated in the field. Essentially, I want them to know when they come to me, and listen they will obtain all of their goals without a doubt!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Even though I’m new to Atlanta, I’ve found a lot of spots I would visit with a friend! I would make sure we hit some of the brunch spots such as Encore , Milk and Honey , Flying Biscuit, and Another Broken Egg. I would also have to take him to the Beltline, Eric’s Fit Lab, and many other local landed gyms. I would also go to a few of my favorite lunch spots such as Slim and Huskys and Slutty Vegan. We would also have to go to a rooftop pool. There are so many things to do and places to eat here in Atlanta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Along this journey, I have had many people help bring my dream to fruition. Firstly, I would like to thank Donnie Harrell for giving me the push I needed to becoming a certified personal trainer. I would like to thank my parents for raising me to have such a superior work ethic. I would like to thank Jordan Tucker and Eric Mccaskill for providing me with the opportunity to to train at Eric’s Fit Lab. I would like to thank my graphic designer with RFC Creations, Charles Crawford II. Lastly, I would like to thank all of my family and friends for the continuous support.
