We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Da Cloudwalker aka Kewlcloud and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris Da Cloudwalker aka Kewlcloud, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’m a CLOUD WALKER….. A cloud walker; One who lives in the cloud of their own imagination or dreams, or one who does not abide by the precepts of society, literature, or art; An unconventional.

Growing up in Atlanta, seeing a diverse scenery & having a musical family who’s southern roots encouraged soul by way of the church. I first started drawing before I could write as my mother would say then writing escalating as my taste grew with hip hop.

Loving the ability to combine words, with rhyme patterns and then I learned all that over sound…. I felt I finally found my passion!

So What made me pursue an artistic career is the love to create something from nothing. The mere thought of a blank canvas or open beat is like a life line to greatness for a creative mind. Honestly from indept studio sessions to developing concepts for cover art, graphics, & Merch design I believe this passion for art FREES ME!
As an artist tapping into the purity of ART in the rawest form allows me display an distinct depiction as I see it. A major key to it all is perspective. Every been to an art exhibit & the audience is so stun by the creative works that only a selective few actually “gets” the exhibit? That’s what makes me continue to create…. Knowing that some will get it, some won’t, but both will be captivated by my legacy.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been asked on numerous occasions what is your genre of music? And I reply all types, because to me music is an expression of emotion places and time. So In my music I end up transcending through all three which normally ends up in a pretty dope track. Growing up listening to gospel then to the great southern hip hop groups like Outkast, UGK, & 3-6 Mafia my sound was everywhere. Looking back I always knew I had lyrical flow because of my influences but something said do it different. So through each dark moment and Triumph I just kept developing music, either writing or recording. Many nights after working a 10 hour shift, I will go to the studio, record, go home gets couple hours sleep then be back up for work developing more of a passion in the beginning. Since 2004 as a hobby to now releasing multiple projects & Singles. From my first big look with “ DIFFERENT CLOTH” which leads me to conversation with several execs. To my latest single “BISCOTTI” which was released in a rough time but has been gaining more & more Momentum since is release. To go from mixtapes to the world of streaming and the availability to have my music everywhere is now mindblowing.

I learn through it all don’t stop, keep moving, you have options. Don’t let the views of others stop you or block you from what you know is in your heart. Things don’t come easy unless you work for them…. But you got to put in work.

Chris da Cloudwalker Aka Kewlcloud has several recordings available on all streaming & downloading platforms. His latest single “BISCOTTI” ft Joe Green has created a major buzz with the DJs & underground culture. Kewlcloud’s discography has increased since 2017… From “Don’t think it’s all Sweet”
