We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris & Ch’nese Pittman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris & Ch’nese, what do you think about risk?
Risk taking has been central to our launching of Fiesta Tour Puerto Rico (FTPR). Chris, Ch’nese and Christopher packed up and moved to Puerto Rico leaving behind family, friends and livelihood. We believed in our vision and had faith that we could manifest our dreams. Without taking such a risk, we would not be where we are today. It is easy to live in comfort and to grow complacent. Taking a risk requires confidence and strength, knowing that through success or failure there was a great lesson learned.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is not so much unique because of the work we do, our business stands apart because of the people that we are. We are attentive, personable, engaging, professional and all around a good time! We pry ourselves on being authentic, and I believe that is what makes us so successful. We ensure that everyone gets exactly what they deserve, we aim to exemplify the best that Puerto Rico has to offer. The quality of service rendered is unique and truly one-of- a kind.
With the busy life of raising a toddler, while also living in a foreign territory, running a small business can be quite demanding. Long hours and endless emails to respond to, but nothing worth having comes easy. We overcome our challenges by utilizing our support team here in Puerto Rico and relying on family support from the states. Moving away from your resources will quickly show you how important others are to your success. Never forgetting to be humble and grateful for even the small accomplishments. If you take nothing else from us, we are so honored to be living our truth and thank God for all of the love we have received along the way. This is only our beginning, Fiesta Tour Puerto Rico is just getting started!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Puerto Rico has so much beauty, over 300 beaches, one of the only Tropical Rainforest on US land and great waterfalls to explore. If I was taking my best friend around the entire island, I would separate the trip by region (North, South, East, West). The north coast of the island has Old San Juan (OSJ), which is full of culture and history. I would love to show my best friend the oldest city on US land. The authentic art pieces, sculptures, museums, cathedral, fortresses and much more. Why not try a Piña Colada, the first recipe is said to be at Barrachina (a restaurant located in OSJ). Day two we will continue with the north region as we travel to the west coast. Arecibo and Camuy are 2 areas of great beauty, we will learn about the Taíno Indian culture and explore caves and waterfalls. Day 3 we will be on the west region; Aguadilla and Rincon are the 2 locations we will explore. Beautiful beaches and perfect sunsets. Survival Beach is a must for a calming nature hike along the beach coast. As we move from the west to the south region, we will stop at Cabo Rojo on our way to Ponce for day 5.Ponce is known for their historical city center and plazas. Leaving the southern region, Ponce, we will have 2 days for the east coast. Río Grande has the infamous El Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo has a breathtaking beach with turquoise calm water. As we end our trip on the east side, Fajardo is a great place to relax and take in all that was experienced for the last 7 days. We will get a chance to eat authentic cuisine, but especially take part in Lechón.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would love to Shoutout Puerto Rico, we would be doing this amazing place a disservice if we failed to give appropriate credit. Puerto Rico is the “who” behind what made us decide to pack up and move our family. Puerto Rico has so much cultural pride, respect, honor and beauty. We wanted to not only show others touring the island what Puerto Rico showed us, but also offer this culture to our very own son. Puerto Rican natives pry themselves on shedding love to strangers and making a house feel like a home. We have received a tremendous amount of support and encouragement and we are truly proud to say we reside in Puerto Rico!
