We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Caldwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to give back to my community and the only resources I had at the time was food. So drawn the pandemic I donated 2500 meals to essential workers and Homely shelters.a

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Was my journey easy no. I struggle understanding the simplest ties because they had a certain culture to restaurants that I knew nothing about it. I overcame it by just kept replying myself to whatever they gave me. The love that I have for cooking overcame so much sleepless nights and days when I forgot to eat which is ironic because I work in the kitchen. Ha. Well sent me apart is my love my creativity and the passion I have to cooking simple but great food. When I first started my business it was all about community and now it’s about community art and culture my community is everything to me so I’ll make sure I donate food weekly my culture behind it is just have fun and my heart is my creativity. No matter who I’m cooking for you get the Same Love and quality of food whether it’s free or paid for.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Whenever I have a friend over for the week there’s a whole bunch of food and fun activities. I love comfort food and good scenery. My go to spots are Joya which is a great Thai Restaurant, Sweet chicks, artichoke Pizza. Late night after bar hopping halal food or 7th Street Burger is my go to. My friend is opened up a bar in Brooklyn called the haus and every friend is a movie. Activities I love to do mini golf, Paint and Sip and if I’m thinking outside the box jet ski on the Hudson.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My community which is my family and my friends they continue to motivate me and push me to live out my purpose. They are the people I go to whenever I need help I dares and motivation where I’m at right now in my life I want to be there without them
