Hi Chizqi’Yah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to start my own herbal business because of my own personal health journey and to provide the knowledge and benefits of using herbs in peoples everyday lives as supposed to modern day medicine.
A little over 10 years ago I sustained a back (spinal) injury in which I was in constant chronic pain and could barely walk. I received injections which only last a short length of time. It wasn’t until the Most High allowed me to cross paths with a couple of people that helped me to get back to my roots of herbalism. I was always into nutrition and health being a former athlete and grew up around family members that would use herbs for various health reasons.
Through the use of herbs I was able to diminish the chronic back pain I was experiencing everyday and was able to complete my rehabilitation and therapy with minimal pain and start exercising again. I was also blessed to formulate and create my own natural vegan pre-workout.
I wanted to educate others about the benefits of herbal products and natural living. By starting my herbal business, it gave me the platform to share that information. My online store has informative information along with products that’s able to help and educate people that want to live a more holistic life or may have some heath issues but not sure where to start or what to take.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As the owner of Lion Roar Herbs LLC, I am fully hands on in the research and making the formulas in our herbal products! As mentioned earlier, our popular N.P.E herbal pre-workout supplement formula was created by me. We focus on providing our customers quality and effective herbal products. This means all of the herbs used in our product formulas are sourced from top-tier suppliers and are always either organically grown and/or wild craft harvested to ensure our customers are receiving the best quality in our products! It is important to us as a family that we support those who are searching for natural alternatives which benefit their long term health.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would defiantly recommend eating at FuegoMundo in sandy springs. Being that me and my family are real particular on what and where we eat but want that great tasting food. If you looking for a more all in one, (eat, drink, entertainment, games, night life, etc…) You have to try The Roof at Ponce City Market which used to be the old sears and City Hall East building. What can I say, they have everything for the entire family.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The main book that is a great encouragement for me is the Holy Scriptures (Tanakh). I give all thanks to the creator of the heavens, the earth, the sea and all that in them is to the Mighty YAH! HalleluYAH!!! For in his Holy scriptures he said the leaf should be for medicine (Ezekiel 47: 12) and I believe it. I’ve witnessed a few people recover from (CV), from some of the herbs they purchased through me. I also would like to thank my wife. She has been by my side since day one. She has always encouraged me to do well and has helped with certain aspects of the business that I was just unable to do. She also has endured the late nights of me being up formulating herbs, studying and establishing and now growing my business. Even though she can be a real drill sergeant (LOL), I thank and love her for being my #1 fan and for being understandable the many times I may have been unavailable to help with family task and activities with our children, etc… (you know, the things that take two). My wife has also been a great motivator by pushing me and keeping me on my toes while also being there for me when the times got tough.
