Hi China, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by growth . In life so far I’ve noticed that the only thing that keeps me going is the idea that “anything can happen”. Growth is endless and cannot be hindered by any individual other than yourself . So , daily I’m inspired by the evolution of others right before my eyes but also that endless possibility of what my life may become as long as I stay inspired .

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Voltaire Hair By China is not your typical hair studio or beauty bar . Voltaire Hair is a one on one authentic hair maintenance experience . We promote healthy hair and don’t perform damaging services on hair based on where the hair is health wise at the time of each set appointment . Voltaire Hair is that hair appointment where you can come in and just let it out . Let you hair down ,kick off your shoes and just get a real peace of mind .You can always look forward to being serviced AT the time of the appointment ,no waiting lines . There’s also free unlimited snacks and wine available ,always . I cater to all age groups from young to old. I truly take pride in being easy going and understanding when it comes to any persons age, size, or lifestyle . I’m just here for those who need a genuine healthy hair experience . I am most proud of my hair product line dropping this year (2024) and I am working tirelessly to get the ball rolling . In just three short years I have managed to start doing hair in my bedroom , pick up a location in a barbershop and now 3 years later blessed to be in my very own private salon suite . Everyday I wake up grateful and in a daze just often wondering how I got to this point . I’ve always done hair, but not like this . It was not easy ,no . But, I think anything worth having means so much more when you have to put in that work to achieve what it is you’ve got on your mind .Like myself you may even exceed your own expectations for your life. I am constantly hit with challenges just like the next beautician from keeping up with new age marketing to also being affordable yet still trying to know your worth and stand on your business policies and prices. Woooooo it can get rough but ,my clients hold me down as I do them .I’ve learned so many lessons along the way and the biggest one this far I think is patience . I have not yet “mastered” patience but, the amount I have now has increased significantly over time .I have a different understanding of people as a whole.Tapping into those insecurities and also healing those traumas is a big part of what I do ,not just hair . You are loved ,accepted and understood at Voltaire Hair By China off rip and I think that’s the biggest catch of what I do . I want the natural world to know I am here . And for those who don’t know I am here I hope everyone gets to experience my services once in this life time it’s a vibe you cannot buy . But, my services are on sale daily .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is such a great question. Honestly if my bestie is coming from outta town to hang more than likely she/he would have to have their own itinerary lined up and I would have to tag along .But,we are most certainly going to rum punch on Sunday and Bamba Tuesdays on Tuesday . I don’t get out too much but ,I love some good carribean food,music and people when I do . Other than that I’d be a tourist in my own city basically .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate this article to my family as a whole . My immediate family jumped on board when I had my son in 2019 and they never let go .All of this is only possible because of the unwavering support that I received emotionally & mentally. As for my international family they just keep me up and motivated constantly reassuring me that I chose the right path for myself and that I am on to something great .
