We had the good fortune of connecting with Chidima “Author Chi” Anusiem and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chidima “Author Chi”, what principle do you value most?
When pursuing success, its important not to run but stride. I remember when I used to feel that I had to keep up with the Jones’. Always hustling, grinding, toiling, and burning the midnight oil night after night. Because for some reason, you must be in a hurry to get to success otherwise you’ll never be able to catch it.

The truth is, I found more success in the steady pacing of intentional actions mixed with taking time way to rest and reset. When I had a clear mind and steady pace, I had more momentum and more opportunities came my way. I have learned that for some, success could take years to obtain, includes many failed attempts, and may not look like everyone else’s journey. But the one thing I know for sure is that if you remain consistent, you will continue to elevate.

To conclude, embrace YOUR process, enjoy the lessons along the journey, and never ever give up!

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the CEO of Change, Heal, and Inspire LLC. Through my organization, I offer one-on-one “Life After Divorce Coaching” to help walk women through the healing process divorce, create the life of their dreams, and reposition their hearts to love and receive love again.

I started this business due to my personal experience of walking through the pain of divorce and finding my way to true healing & restoration. I understand that many women get stuck along the way and never find their way out. It became my life’s passion to do something about this!

It was not an easy journey because, let’s face, it talking about divorce is not sexy. Reliving and being transparent about my pain was very difficult at times, but I knew that my story did not belong to me. It’s purpose was for me to share and deposit hope in others.

I am most excited about my talk show “Author Chi Talks” available on my “Author Chi” YouTube Channel. Author Chi Talks is a platform to normalize divorce conversations and the topics impacting the divorce community such as dating after divorce, surviving toxic relationships, forgiveness, etc. Most of my guests/experts are divorcees, because I believe it is important to give divorcees a voice to share their wisdom/experience and provide inspiration to others.

I also host women’s conferences, conduct speaking engagements, and plan to author a few more books to add to my best-seller “From Glass to Stone”!

What sets me apart from others is that I am a self-taught divorce coach. I leverage my personal experiences (and the experience of the divorcees I’ve encountered along the way) to create a content that truly gets to the heart of people. I believe that certifications & education is valuable, however life experience is the best resource & teacher.

What I want the world to know is that pain birth’s change. I never thought in a million years I would be a divorce coach. But the pain I went through propelled me to move into action. Some times the greatest area of pain is where ideas, businesses, and passion is developed. So don’t despise your pain, but let in guide you to what you were purposed to do on this earth.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So I am born and raised in Atlanta and I looove my city!

If I had a friend visit the city, I would take them to a few of my favorite spots in the city. We would start the day with a climb to the top of Stone Mountain, where you can see the view from the city of Stone Mountain to the heart of downtown Atlanta. Totally breathtaking!

We would then grab brunch at my my favorite breakfast spot Atlanta Breakfast Club. The place is always packed out because the food is amazing!

From there I would go to Centennial Olympic Park, originally built as gathering place for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Usually you can find some entertainment/events happening there or can just enjoy the beautiful dancing water fountain, people watch, or enjoy the World of Coca Cola close by. There’s also a Skyview Ferris wheel, where you can see gorgeous views of Atlanta, from 20 stories high!

For our evening out, we would end the night with live music and dancing at Sweet GA’s Juke Joint! It’s a soul food restaurant with a nice 35 and older crowd, and the fried chicken there is finger licking good!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I considered giving a professional shout out here, but I think sometimes the role of friends and family can be taken for granted. I have to give a shout out to the very important women in my life: my amazing sisters Chioma Akhabue and Hope Anusiem, as well as my beautiful mother Joyce Anusiem. They are my tribe and gathered around me during my divorce process and loved me back to life. They also encouraged me to begin my divorce coaching business and never give me room to quit. I don’t know where I would be without the powerful women in my life that supported me along the way. Thank you all!
