We had the good fortune of connecting with Cheyenne Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cheyenne, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Support from my family and friends, coupled with staying true to myself, has been instrumental in the growth of my brand. Their encouragement and belief in my vision provided me with the confidence to pursue my goals even when faced with challenges. Cheysthetics has been an idea of mine for a really long time before I decided to launch. There were several of times where I thought I was just going to give up the idea as a whole.

So, the very honest feedback and advice from my loved ones have been invaluable. Their unique perspectives and constructive criticism that helped me refine my brand identity and business strategies. By staying true to myself, passions, and unique voice, I was able to differentiate my brand in a crowded marketplace and connect with my audience on a more personal level.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most proud of my self for finally launching and actually keeping it up. It can be so hard to own a small business and be encouraged or motivated everyday. It definitely hasn’t been easy, but I’m having fun. That’s really the key to all of this. There are some days I’m stumped on ideas or have no motivation, but I have to remind myself why I started my business to begin with.

I’ve learned so much about myself during this process. You have to be strong to be a business owner, Mistakes will be made, but just enjoy it. Remain humble & always be willing to learn!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There is so much culture in Atlanta therefore, the options are endless. I’m a big foodie so we’d deff grab food. Stop by my fav wing spot, possibly go to brunch, or a fine dining restaurant. Depending on the weather hit the Belt line, Ponce or Krog Street. You have the High Museum on a Friday night, Lady Bird on a nice Saturday, Rum Punch on Sunday. A large selection of night life options. One thing I love about Atlanta is that there is literally always something going on. I’m not sure if I’d have an itinerary more like a list of a bunch of options and have them choose.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d probably have to shout out Amari, Morgan, Qri, Donielle, Alexus….there are several more people I could name but those individuals really stayed on me the past few years about sticking with my brand and launching.
