We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelsea, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work Life Balance can be a challenge when you wear as many hats as I do. I’m a wife, mother of three year old twin boys, an owner of not one, but two businesses a full time employee, sister, daughter and friend. While it gets busy, my greatest accomplishment is learning how to prioritize my time, make time for the important things and people in my life while still pursuing my dreams and surpassing my goals.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Was it easy? Now there’s a laugh! No it was not easy, the hardest part in the beginning was convincing myself to go for it. I got quite the nudge from my husband to follow my dreams and NEVER look back and that’s what really helped me get things going.

I’ve learned to trust my instincts, believe in me when nobody else does, aim higher and never stop smiling because I never know who’s watching and gaining encouragement from me just through my journey!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ahhh man! There are so many!! Their only stop for food should be Gimme Some Savory followed by something to satisfy their sweet tooth from Gimme Some Suga! Haha, my opinion could be viewed as a little biased. I enjoy sporting events here, particularly theBraves games as there is so much to do and see in that area. They should check out the drive in movies, you get to bring all your own snacks and watch in the comfort of your own car. Go to a concert while they’re here, the arena is dope. Visit a park in Gwinnett, they’re clean and give you a good bite of nature, we could all use that more often than we realize.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my three of the most important people in my life who have gained their wings in the last 6 months:

Mrs. Vera Bush 8/28/1929-12/12/2020 (Paternal Great Grandmother)
Mrs. Gloria Ann Cunningham Smith 1/5/1952-1/16/2021 (Maternal Grandmother
Mrs. Zelma 2/23/1936-5/14/2021 (Maternal Great Grandmother

They’re the true secret behind my knack for cooking, they taught me how to make food from scratch that warmed your insides in a different way. They were passionate about it. My blueprint, they were phenomenal cooks…don’t take my word for it! You can ask ANYONE from Buford, GA about these women in the kitchen and I promise you will hear the same things if not better. They used a cup of wisdom, couple dashes of love and a pinch of fun with every unofficial cooking lesson. I love my grandmothers dearly as they played such a big role in the way I was raised and instilling many of my morals and values that I still carry with me today.
