We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Horan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelsea, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
My worst day is someone else in the world’s best day. I live everyday with this in mind. I have a passion for being and creating a positive impact in my community. Volunteer work, community service, and contributing to community empowerment are my driving core values. Volunteering is compassion, it is empathy, and it is a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others and for me, there is nothing better than having the opportunity to be apart of that.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a kid, I was like a mini business tycoon in training. If it wasn’t nailed down, I was probably trying to sell it! I was constantly starting new ventures. Those early experiences taught me the fundamentals of entrepreneurship: creativity, perseverance, and the importance of understanding your “market,” which back then was my neighborhood. As I grew up, those lessons stayed with me. I learned that success isn’t just about having a great idea but also about executing it well, understanding my customers and clients, and adapting to changes. Whether it’s a new real estate listing or a community project, I approach everything with the same enthusiasm and resourcefulness that fueled my childhood endeavors.

My career in real estate has been so much more than just transactions—it’s been about creating heartfelt connections. My journey began with a simple fascination for beautiful homes and the stories they held within their walls. This fascination quickly turned into a full-fledged passion as I realized the impact of matching individuals and families with their perfect home. Each client brings a unique dream, a vision of their future that often starts with the place they choose to live and call home. Understanding these aspirations has been at the core of my approach, making every interaction personal and every decision meaningful. The joy on my clients’ faces when they walk into their dream home for the first time is irreplaceable and drives my commitment to this profession.

When I finished school for real estate and first dipped my toes into the real estate pool, I naively thought finding sellers and buyers would be a cinch. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. After six months of radio silence, I knew I needed a game-changer. My strategy? Doll myself up, don some killer heels, and crash the fraternity chapter meetings at Georgia Tech. I introduced myself and charmingly offered my services for rental hunting. Believe it or not, it paid off. Within that next year, I had closed over 75 rental listings to over 100 individuals. When I think back to the beginning of my career as compared to now and to the continuous hustle that has brought me to over a couple hundred million in sales, I have learned that relationships and flexibility are key.

I am the host of The American Dream: Selling Atlanta. The American Dream is a positive media television show focused on lifestyle, culture, and real estate. Unlike reality shows, The American Dream features genuine voices in real estate representing their markets authentically. Each episode features amazing individuals sharing their stories about what makes their businesses, organizations, events, and properties unique to the marketplace. It is a Telly Award winning, Emmy-nominated production that airs on national networks of CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and the Travel Channel, as well as digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video, YouTube Movies & TV, Tubi, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Roku, amassing tens of millions of views every month on social media. As real estate professionals, this opportunity connects me with a national network of elite professionals in the real estate and mortgage industries.

I am a true Georgia native. Being raised in Atlantas diverse cultural mecca has given me such a passion for exploring every nook and cranny of the city. In doing so, I found a passion for volunteering and giving back to this amazing community. I am involved with Make-A-Wish, Alzheimers Association, Georgia Homeless Pets, and Lifeline Animal Project.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Once upon a wine-soaked time, in a world where vines dance under the Georgia sun, my best friend and I would most definitely be headed up to the vineyards in the North Georgia mountains and then eventually end up in Blueridge. Our first stop would be a night at Montaluce Winery, a Tuscan-inspired estate that makes you feel like you just teleported to Italy. We would tour the vineyard, indulge in a wine tasting or two, and have homemade pasta paired with their signature Sangiovese for dinner at Trattoria di Montaluce. We would then retire to our chalet on property for the night.

Next day, we would have to take a quirky detour and pan for some gold- I mean it is Dahlonega! Then hit the wine trail again visiting Wolf Mountain Vineyards. They have the best gourmet pizzas and beautiful panoramic mountain views. Ending our day in Helen. We would explore the beautiful German inspired town of Helen, probably make a pit stop at Yonah Mountain Vineyards (they have a stunning tasting room) and head off to float the river.

Next, off to Blueridge. We would stay in a beautiful Air BnB, spend time on the stunning Lake Blueridge, enjoy the incredibly cute town and restaurants, ride the Scenic Railway, stop by Mercier Orchards, and enjoy the amazing spa services at Serenity in the Mountains.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my amazing best friend and co-host, Jeremy Smith, and our incredible videographer Ernest Sparkman, owner of Reel Denizen Media, for making The American Dream: Selling Atlanta an extraordinary experience. Jeremy, your charisma, our chemistry as best friends, and your extensive knowledge of the Atlanta real estate market brings such unique energy and insight to the show that our viewers love! Ernest, your creativity and technical expertise capture the essence of our journey, turning each episode into a visual masterpiece. Together, your dedication and passion are the heartbeat of our show, and without you both, The American Dream: Selling Atlanta wouldn’t be the same.
