We had the good fortune of connecting with Chef Ju’von and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chef, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
With a southern background of Greenville, SC- born and raised in New York. As an Award-Winning Celebrity Chef and owner of Chef Ju’von’s Personal Chef Services, is thrilled to give back by way of sharing Kidney Failure Awareness in which I am a product of what we call “A Miracle in God’s Eye” of a successful Kidney Transplant 14 years and is now medicine free 6 years.

Growing up watching grandma and mom in the kitchen, listening the the pan sizzle when something was placed inside was music to my ears. From looking and tasting the end product was it! Watching the expressions on other faces of how good the food tasted was magic.

But a huge twist hit me! Renal Failure! After trying so hard to become a CHef in the military, it was the news of hearing that I had renal failure. This killed my dreams… but look at how God worked. now I am this successful traveling chef that loves to cook for people and serve with eggcellence.

Learning all over how to eat and what not to eat was depending on whether I was going to live or not. From knowing the doctors told my mom that I wasn’t going to live to be a teenager to passing that and the devil trying to attack me with something else was a game changer.

After, receiving a kidney transplant and learning that God really choose me as a vessel was life dignifying. Magnifying who He is in me gave me more of push to live for Him to tell the world what He has done for me. Cooking, traveling and teaching others is worth living for. The end goal in my career is to tell the world the good news.

My love for playing with fire and singing for my quest at dinner parties is what helps separates me from other chefs. It’s not just about selling food to others but it’s about selling an eggcperience you can’t get no where else.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Chef Ju’von’s Personal Chef Services, we pride ourselves on great customer service firstly. I believe first impressions makes the last impressions. The first time someone inquires about our service, a person will always remember even if the food is not pleasing to the client. Especially, for a black owned operating business. I say that because Black owned businesses have some bad taste buds left behind and we kill that taste bud right away with elevated services.

Another thing that makes me proud of our business is that, unlike any other place I’ve worked, here I get to be me. Loud, very charismatic, I can sing to my guest, and be personable as I feel to be lead to.

One of the ways I got to where I am in which wasn’t easy today is believe in who God has for me as a client, is for me. In other words, I don’t chase after clients and I definitely don’t lower my price just to get the job. My client recognizes what value I bring to the table. A lot of believing in my craft, value and goals is what made it easy to get here.

Some of the lessons that I am still learning is how to work with other adults and their personalities and too learning how to rely on people to carry out the mission. There is no “I” in the word team! It really does take a team to build a dream. Though this is a people pleasing business, it’s takes a lot for you to trust your baby in someone’s else hands. There will be push backs and let downs but as I am told by a good friend of mine Chef Corwin, its apart of doing business.

Here at Chef Ju’von’s Personal Chef Services, we strive to deliver our services with an Elevated eggsperience with eggcellence. Though we are located in Sanford, Florida, we serve the U.S and Abroad.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If i had a best friend I would take them to the Grand bohemian Hotel in which I use to work. But overall I don’t have a really good answer for this question because I am still getting to know the area.

DO NOT PRINT!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I always love to give shout outs and recognitions for those who were there for me from the beginning. Conti, and the Profit family, Leron Profit and his lovely wife Alisia Profit for help putting me on the map and consistently supporting my business especially during the climax of the pandemic.

Wendy Cummings, Stanley Desire and Chef Corwin for being there for me when I needed them. Whether it was for advice and or hands on help for rendering services. These people are a still here to help me.
