We had the good fortune of connecting with Chasity Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chasity, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity is definitely the most important factor behind my success. There are lots of great career coaches out there, but I help each client strategize to leverage their whole-self as an asset. I named my company Work Network Twerk to signify that code switching is canceled!

What should our readers know about your business?
Work Network Twerk is a consulting business that provides career coaching for modern professionals. My strength is teaching clients to leverage their experiences, both personal and professional, to propel their careers.

Business is growing as many people decided to exit their roles during the pandemic in favor of roles that allow them to function more authentically. Many are looking to apply the lessons they learned about their work place, leadership, and schedule preferences in a different role or as an independent contractor. My business helps them prepare to search for the best fit through resume reviews, LinkedIn audits, and mock interviews.

I recently launched a new product, The Work Journal, to help my clients document their work wins in preparation for performance reviews, promotion conversations, and salary negotiations.

I am here to ensure that your best self can find the best fit for employment with the best compensation!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love supporting Atlanta’s black-owned businesses, and when I am sharing Atlanta with my friends and family I like to take them on a brunch tour. Atlanta Breakfast Club, La Petite Marche’, and Breakfast at Barney’s are my go-tos. I am trying to make Brunch dessert a thing so I frequent IScream Ice Cream rolls for some sweet satisfaction after a good meal.

I am also a huge fan of Atlanta’s festival scene. Any of the festivals in and around the city are worthy of a visit especially when live music is involved.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First giving honor to God, who is the head of my life. Next to my village who consistently gives Hillman-meets-Wakanda excellence with Love Jones soul and House Party 3 fun, I thank you for showering me with unwavering joy, encouragement, and support. I want to publicly stan my fiance’ Michael Billingslea, Jr. for balancing his growing business, our ongoing romance, and my relentless shenanigans. Lastly, I would also like to highlight Beyonce’ for giving us Black Is King, the soundtrack to my productivity, power and pride.
