We had the good fortune of connecting with Chartney Blair and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chartney, how do you think about risk?
Risk to me is seeing the win before the race even begins.Taking risks has helped me grow mentally, physically, and financially. So many times, I have looked back on my life and realized had I not taken the risk and listened to others, my life would have looked different. It also helps that I love a good challenge. I’m not afraid to fail. Failing is better than never trying.

What should our readers know about your business?
Blair Care was created because, as a healthcare professional, I saw a problem with high hospital readmission rates, and I know that people want safe and quality care in the comfort of their homes. Our focus on client and employee satisfaction while building trustworthy relationships sets us apart from other agencies.

When I started my company, I had to ensure that I could provide the best care for our clients and employees. I am most proud of the long lasting relationships that have been built. To think that Blair Care started as an idea and then transferred to paper and then to real life amazes me every day. I am where I am today by being myself, taking risks, not being afraid to fail, and having excellent customer service skills.

Figuring out how to turn your passion into something profitable will always be challenging, but it’s so worth it. I overcome challenges by understanding that business and life will have ups and downs, and it’s not about what happens to you but how you react to what happens to you. You can make excuses, or you can get to work. I want the world to know that this company was built on love and compassion, so we truly see our clients as individuals who need tailored services and not a one-size-fits-all plan of care.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, we would have to grab some good food at Hals Steakhouse. They have a delicious snapper. Next, we all know that we must beat traffic, so we would head back up to Gwinnett and have some drinks at Chicago’s Pizza, a nice little chill spot. The next day we’ll probably do some hiking at one of the local parks and then head back to the city to grab some food at the local ponce de Market after a day of shopping. We would start the next day at a brunch spot. Some of my favorites are the breakfast bar and milk and honey. After that, we would end our day with a spa day because what’s a vacation without a spa day. We would wrap up the vacation and hit a couple of lounges and eat. One thing about my friends and I is that we will find some good places to eat.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to send a shout-out to my entire family because it took a village. I come from a big blended family, so there’s not one particular person I can say was responsible for my growth, but multiple people at different stages in my life who helped me become the woman that I am today. I also want to shout out my hometown, Albion. I’m rarely home, but I’m always repping my city. I grew up in a safe, close-knit community. I don’t take it for granted because not every child gets to experience this.
