We had the good fortune of connecting with Charmaine Broome and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charmaine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My Thought process behind starting my own business was pretty much a no brainer. At some point I realized I had to create another stream of income that would offer a new form of longevity for my life, and the life of my family.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a professional singer turned serial entrepreneur. I’ve sang for Gospel great Kirk Franklin as a core Alto since 2005. I’m also the CEO and founder of a movement called “Blended Families Rock” where we help brig the gap between biological and non biological parents. Helping create better harmony for the child(ren). I’m a children’s book author, and a self made chef. I cook amazing meals, and share them via social media using my famous quote “I Ain’t No Chef, But I Be Cheffin”. I have a cookbook out, and also own a vending machine business called “I Be Vending Academy” where I teach out her how to earn passive income through this industry. My greatest accomplishments though are being an amazing wife to my loving husband, and bonus mom to my beautiful bonus daughter.

What sets me a part from others is my passion, and drive. I am a commit now and figure out the rest later type of woman. I have no fear when it comes to venturing out with new ideas.

God, and consistency is the reason I’m where I am today. It has no been easy at all. I have dealt with confidence for a long time, but once I realized there is only ONE ME and there’s a reason for that I began to trust I BELONGED here.

They biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is that your talent will only take you so far. Your attitude is what will keep you there.

I would love for people to know that I’m as real as they come, and my brand is authentic, bold, fun, and truthful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, and I wanted to show them the best time ever, I would take her around town. We’d start with brunch at Snooze around 11:30/12pm. Then head to The Waldorf Astoria for a spa day. After that we’d head to Phipps Plaza for shopping, Pappadeaux’s for a late lunch. Maybe Go to the movies, and then Nobu for dinner.

I believe some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out would be whatever one feels naturally drawn to. From family, to church, even down to traveling outside of the country. It’s whatever makes one happy.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would honestly give credit to my mother, and father who passed down my business mindset. And of course Jesus Christ, for giving me the mental capacity to handle what he has for me on this journey.
