We had the good fortune of connecting with Charann Daniels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charann, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
For me, a creative career was the only way to go, as well as building creative businesses. I have never really thrived in the traditional job arena. In a cubical, I would get bored, unmotivated and ponder on everything I would do if I wasn’t at work! Being able to experience creativity & art in every aspect of my career & business gives me energy and joy that I can never trade!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am so excited about my new magazine being released in June 2023! It’s a testament to everything that I have worked for in my career to date. I have put every creative bone into this and I am so thrilled to have been able to collaborate with so many amazing women!

With each new business that I launch there is a new challenge to overcome. At this point in my life, I no longer allow things to make me fear or second-guess what I am going. I take a breathe, go back to my why and keep pushing. If I have to restrategize and pivot that is what ill do but I never stop, pause but not cease doing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am not actually located in Atlanta, I have worked with people from the area and my sister lives not too far from the city. I’m from Bermuda, but I love the creative culture in Atlanta!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly Jesus gets all of the credit! Secondly my sweet family! Shoutout to my Husband of 7 years, my sweet baby boy Josiah and my sister / Business Partner Charmarie!

I have a big and strong supportive community. I don’t know where I would be without my Purpose Over Perfection Tribe. We built our Podcast on the very principles that we share in our friendship. Just being there in support of each other emotionally and spiritually. Cheering each other on with every single win, big or small. They are a big source of love and encouragement in my life.

Last but not least my church family Cities of Refuge Ministries! They have helped nurture me into the woman I am today. I have so many couples that I do life with and we continue to just make those big moves together and I am so grateful for it!
