We had the good fortune of connecting with Chantel E. Curry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chantel E., how do you think about risk?
I strongly believe that people should definitely take risk especially when they really feel it within. Everything is a learning process whether you succeed or you fail with the risk that you take you just know what to do next time around or you keep doing what you’re doing and you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m definitely a risk taker when something tells me within and do it I’m doing it and it never fails.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
1. My art is an expression of myself. I went through a life changing rebirth recently which showed me that I had a hidden talent that was untapped. As a result, I began to realize that I really loved creating art.
When I create art its extremely therapeutic . And it gets my creative juices flowing. Im proud that the art I create has an impact on people. It makes people
feel deeply unexpectedly.
Something told me to start painting. So I begin painting my bedroom wall. I posted a video of that wall on my social media. I received great feedback from that painting and from there I wondered if I could paint on a canvas. And I did that made a few pieces I also posted on my social media and got great feedback. I then created several more pieces and sold them all for profit.
Was it easy? Yes because it came naturally. I learned many things because it was all new to me. If I didn’t know something I researched it and learned. I have also increased my business acumen tremendously as a result.
My art reflects my character and personality. I like to describe myself as a colorful person.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take her to the places that I enjoy and that I think she would like. For instance, we would visit a cigar lounge where we could listen to live music, eat great food and have engaging conversations as we caught up with one another also different type of Amazing restaurants here in ATL. I also like doing adventures outdoor activities , also indoor activities such as virtual gun shooting, bowling rollerblading and skating etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
