We had the good fortune of connecting with Chantal Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chantal, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In March of 2018 Chantal Taylor started her business True Essence Organics. Her business takes raw ingredients from nature and molds them into skincare products usable for different skin types. Chantal’s ambitions were not always skincare, although her purpose never wavered. Her skincare journey began when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called desmoid fibromatosis. Since her diagnosis in 2018 she has and still is undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries.
Despite her illness, Chantal has become remarkably successful with her skincare business. She has been featured on the cover of Huami Magazine Jan/Feb 2022 edition, her products are in several stores near and far, and she is now on Walmart.com In the mist of all of this she is a mom to 3 handsome boys, a sister to 15 siblings, an aunt, a first-generation high school graduate, and a soon to be first generation college graduate come March 2023.
Her biggest motivation is her children, but she would not be the woman she is today without her grandmother Gloria Taylor. In Chantal’s adolescence years her grandmother was the one who raised her after her mom passed. Together they would form an unbreakable bond lasting until her unexpected passing in August of 2021. Since the passing of her grandmother, she has used this tragedy to help push and motivate her more toward making True Essence Organics known locally, nationally, and some day globally.
