Hi Chanell, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk to me are a bunch of “oh wells”. When I say this I mean, I rather have more oh wells than what ifs. Ill try anything because nothing beats a failure than a try. If I wouldn’t have took a risk and moved from my home town to Atlanta than I wouldn’t have been the person I am today. Even the things that didn’t work out I’ve learned so much from, That goes for every aspect of my life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As the first African American head spa business owner in Atlanta, GA, I feel like I’m pioneering a new experience for my community, offering unique and culturally resonant services aimed at promoting relaxation, self-care, and overall well-being. My venture represents a shift in the industry, providing diverse clientele with an inclusive space to indulge in rejuvenating treatments tailored to their specific needs. This wasn’t very hard to do but the challenge comes when its time to market and bring in the clientele. I Learned that you don’t got to be perfect to start but you got to start to be perfect. My brand is just like many, but its unique in its own way.For aspiring entrepreneurs, embarking on the journey of starting a business can be both exhilarating and daunting. However, it’s essential to remember that every successful venture begins with a single step and a courageous vision. Despite the challenges you may face, believe in your idea and your ability to bring it to fruition. Embrace the journey, knowing that each obstacle is an opportunity for growth and learning.
