We had the good fortune of connecting with Chamise-Renée and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chamise-Renée, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Balance… with the life that I live, balance does not exist. I have created “a flow”.

I wear many hats and with everyday that I am blessed to see, my agenda is different.
I am a business owner of 3 businesses total, myself as an actress being one of them.

I’ve been in the entertainment industry since the age of 3 so multitasking and working through my schedule of the day was instilled in me at an early age.

As I grew into adulthood and motherhood which followed shortly after, I’ve realized that I had to strategize and write everything down so that I remain focused throughout my day. Most importantly setting aside personal time when needed and knowing to take a break because it is extremely necessary.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The name CHAMISE-RENÉE comes with a number or hats, dynamics and levels.

I strongly believe what sets me apart from others is when I started and my training. I was trained for Broadway at Broadway Dance Center as a triple threat. Growing up in the arts it’s never just a one way street. It allowed me to branch into many other crafts which gave me additional opportunities.

I got to where I am today because I did not give up. Life has happened and is happening and fast. Being focused, remaining consistent or as consistent as possible, using and exercising my talents that you have been blessed with and of course, remaining a student in my craft.

My journey wasn’t hard however I wouldn’t call it easy either. As an artist especially as an actress your patience in between contracts determine just how bad you really want it. Acting is a very easy thing to just make a hobby however to make it a career it takes a certain level of commitment and drive. Just like any other career that doesn’t have a guarantee foundation.

Chamise-Renée is my first name and I am my brand…
The CEO of Pose With Poise (Pose Coach), Actress, Model, Dancer, Co-Founder of Financial Freedom Run, Credited Costumer for Megaminds Media, Director of Productions at 811 Productions and a Relationship Chain Executive and this is still “just my beginning”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a current Atlanta resident my itinerary would definitely pop! Me being a super host and all the first thing I would advice is a number of outfits for all occasions!

In no particular order my guest would definitely eat good. From my delicious home cooked meals, specialty cocktails and hospitality breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided in the days we stay in.
A few of my favorite eateries in Atlanta would be Poor Calvin’s, the original milk and honey, Juicy Crab, Krab Queenz, New York prime just to name a few.

We would do some day and night activities like explore a few ATL attractions, a brunch or 2 or 3, mingle with the folks of Atlanta at a few of the many things that Atlanta always has going on.
Enjoy wine or tea tasting depending on the guest. Relax poolside, have a movie night at the in home theater and of course turn up, dance, laugh and play games at the penthouse as we watch the sun set from the living room.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
No one can do it alone! So I thank God for my Tribe who I call my FAMILY!

My mother Carol, who was my first supporter every. She is the reason I started in the entertainment industry at the age of three. Being a single parent my mom did it all. While working a full-time job she was there for every recital, audition, casting call, gymnastic and dance class, pageant and so much more. My mom is who set the tone for the path that I am on today. Which is why I named my first business “THANKS MOM LLC”.

My son King Zahvier for being my best accomplishment in life. As he maintains his honor roll status, he also helps me with my lines, wardrobe, setting up my gps in advance to my auditions, and bringing my bags to the car just so that I don’t have to…It’s the little things that count.
He holds his mother up and down depending on what’s needed with no questions asked. Thank you for your hugs, love, support, for being understanding and for being an amazing son. Mommy loves you.

Asia Star… my partner in life, business partner, and accountability partner. 5 years doesn’t seem like a long time but when life is happening… a number of business later, the ups, downs and pandemics they happen in life; we have made it through stronger, wiser and so much better. Thank you for helping me become a better version of myself, supporting me through absolutely everything and for always keeping “us” covered in prayer. I love you.

My friends who are my family… thank you for supporting me at all of my shows, your encouraging words, sound advice, prayers, love and laughs when needed. I love you all, IN REAL LIFE!
PS: You know who you are because I tell you that I love and appreciate you every chance that I get.
