We had the good fortune of connecting with Chaise Francis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chaise, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Passion drives my success more than anything. In that sense, it’s all self motivated- it comes so natural. I thank God for passion because when you’re doing what you love, all of your work fulfills you. There’s no capacity.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was born an artist. From music to visual art to literature, I’m an artist. It’s a talent that I’ve kept to myself until now and the fact that outside validation isn’t something I look for makes me proud. I’m a rapper and songwriter and I’m crazy excited to show up as me in the near future as the artist I am, not just the entrepreneur. I started a YouTube channel in 2019 to force myself to become more outgoing, but mainly to build a platform where my music would be supported. In 2020, I became the owner of Foot in the Door, LLC. and made my first major business investment in a commercial cleaning franchise. Having a passive stream of income has always been important to me because I value my time so much. All of my entrepreneurial decisions have been made with my music career in mind. The more successful my YouTube channel and franchise are, the more time and money I’m able to invest back into my music. I had to learn and believe that God doesn’t bless us with talents in areas that are oversaturated. Once I got that in my head I stopped making excuses for not broadcasting my art.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My absolute favorite thing about Atlanta is the amount of black entrepreneurship. I’ve been out- genuinely enjoying the ambiance so many times and then the owner got pointed out to me, and it was someone who looked like me. It’s something I’ve experienced in places like Toast on Lenox, Blu Seafood, Frost Bistro, etc. and it’s so inspiring! Those are some of favorite places to eat, so I’d definitely take my friend to those. The studio is more intimate for me so depending on what kind of friend they are, that would be a vibe for sure. I cannot fail to mention IPIC movie theater either. A luxury dine in movie is definitely up there in my top things to do while in Atlanta. Magic City. I’m just going to end my response with Magic City.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a sister, Brock Francis, who has always listened and encouraged my dreams. As kids we used to link up in the kitchen in the middle of night and talk for hours about what was next. Every talk we’ve had throughout the years about our futures has put me one step closer to everything I aim for. Surrounding yourself with like minds is definitely a must for success; that like mind being your sister is a bonus. Not to mention, she’s a kick ass model and digital marketer here in Atlanta. Witnessing her success has been so heartwarming.”
