We had the good fortune of connecting with Celine & Sharon Chan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Celine & Sharon, what inspires you?
We are inspired by our parents. As immigrants, they taught us how to live and love our Chinese culture in America. We were truly born to be foodies. Our parents both work in the food industry, as a chef and a server, and have always encouraged us to be curious and adventurous – especially when eating!

Growing up, we were able to experience the melting pot of food from different cultures of our community, while also learning about our heritage through home cooking lessons.

Now living in new cities, we are constantly looking for our next big bite – always excited to share new spots with the family the next time they visit.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We can talk about our goals of becoming one?

We feel lucky to have had several opportunities to partner with local restaurants and brands by producing creative content for our audiences to engage with. It’s amazing to be able to support both big and small business in our neighborhood through our platform, all while sharing genuinely good eats with the community!

As we continue to define our creative style, we look forward to building out our own brand and maybe even starting a clothing line / podcast to dive deeper into our passion project!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, we’d be going on a non-stop restaurant crawl. Here are a couple places we’d eat at: Mary Mac’s, Mukja, Pasta da Pulcinella, Best BBQ (Chinese BBQ), Antico, and Agavero – just to name a few. For dessert, Cafe Intermezzo and Voga.

We’d go for a picnic right at Piedmont Park and walk around the Beltline til we hit Ponce or New Realm for a quick drink. Living in Georgia now, hiking has been a great new hobby. There are so many beautiful hikes nearby and always a new one to explore!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This one goes out to you, Yelp! We (and our stomachs) are so grateful to be part of the Yelp Elite Squad. In Atlanta, anytime before I, Sharon, go out to eat – it’s almost ritual for me to look up what looks good at the restaurant. Yelp is my first go-to spot anytime I want to grab a quick bite, or sit down for a nice dinner. Being part of the Elite Squad has given me the opportunity to grub at great local restaurants that I might just not have found. Yelp has been a great part of both of our eating adventures in our cities.
