We had the good fortune of connecting with Cedric Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cedric, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The lesson my career has taught me is staying consistent and having patience, a lot of individuals get caught up into rushing things. But I’m definitely a true believer in self development. It’s really about focusing on a project and aiming for perfection, but at the same time having fun doing what you love at the end of the day is priceless. I also allow myself to be open to learning different tactics that can be beneficial for not only in business, but me personally. How I feel, being knowledgeable is another tool that can help you get closer to your goals and dreams, just make sure it’s the right knowledge.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
C-Styles Music is the founder of the indie label TrueMind Records a publishing and entertainment company that was built to give upcoming and aspiring talent artists the opportunity to be heard. As of course for any up and coming artist there are going to be adversities that you must go through. First, from just me finding myself as an artist took time. Statistically nothing happens overnight, unless you get really lucky. I’m so excited about the new projects I have on the way just to name a few the new single “Ball On Em” dropping along with the works of a EP to follow. Also, the brand is coming with a high end urban luxury clothing and accessory company called TrueMind Apparel “Respect The Culture” it was created to glorify hip-hop culture to its fullest and what better way to do it, is in style. How I got to where I’m at today professionally I would have to say is just going through the process, and what I mean by that is going through the trial and error phases in my career. The pain and the struggle I must say has molded me into the artist I am today, overcoming the challenges was difficult not going to lie, for me when it got like that I just made myself focus in more on what’s most important to me and never forget about the vision. What I would like for the world to know about me, is I always aim to touch people through my music.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta in the city always has something going on. Personally I like to eat lol, nothing like a good meal you feel me lol. Also, along with a little shopping, in the buckhead area the The Tavern Restaurant would be a spot I like to hit up connected next to the phipps plaza they have some really good salmon. But me I can’t be too booshy, if you ain’t too scared to go to the hood with me, I definitely like to pull up on Mr. Everything Cafe off MLK shout out to Queens NY food be too fire, for sure in my top 5 of food spots. Now far as spots. I do like to bowl so The Painted Pin would be a nice spot to go too and hangout at.  Also Candytopia Atlanta is a real fun spot to go to if you ever get a chance it is a must.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to give some credit to my father, who has always been a big supporter in my creativity and business. One of the things he would always say and I know this may sound a little cliche but. “Whatever you want in life, just put the work in, and whatever your goals are, thrive to be the best at it.” Shoutout to my old man and his wise words.
