We had the good fortune of connecting with Cecile Does My Hair and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cecile, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is great customer service. Without customers, there is no business. I realize that I am extremely blessed to have the talent and skillset of being a hairstylist. With that being said, I realize that with this gift, I am here to serve.

I treat my clients very well, deliver on the looks they ask me to, and provide a safe space for them. Not only do I get to make women feel beautiful, my clients and I learn a lot from each other. I have been able to be on the journey with a lot of them through schooling all the way up to getting their dream careers to them then getting married. Having the skill/talent to do hair is a blessing and having great clients make it even more worthwhile. My clients appreciate that I operate in integrity, treat them well, and get the job done.

What do you think sets you apart as a stylist or what do you bring as a stylist?
My Jamaican culture contributes most to my artistry. Jamaicans are known for having memorable looks, confidence, and being trendsetters. What sets me apart from other hairstylists is my energy and a certain flavor I bring to every style. I have a gift of being able to look at each client and giving them a look/style that is tailored to their features and makes them pop individually.
