We had the good fortune of connecting with CCMarie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CCMarie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
During most of my childhood my mother was an entrepreneur, so having a business was not necessarily foreign to me. I had a business that I started after college and put it on the back burner once I became a mother. After the birth of my second child I found myself having anxiety and chronic fatigue. I was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder and it added to the mental fatigue I was already feeling as a new mother of two. I always have had an affinity for crystals and rocks and started working with them to create rustic jewelry for myself and my children. I had a surprising response from friends and family wanting me to create pieces for them. Grand Vibrations was born shortly after that.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Grand Vibrations brought me back to life! I was in a rut and it brought color back into my gray world. I was a mom and wife and nothing more. I started GV with no intentions of it growing the way it has. It was a hobby but God had other plans for it and me. I look at my business as my ministry. I am here to serve others. I provide some fashionable jewelry but I take great pride in creating a spiritual experience, as well. Everything around us is energy, crystals are no different. Since the beginning of time, men and women have worn gemstones to represent social status and welcome positive energies in their lives. I’ve taken many classes to expand my knowledge of rock, crystals and gemstones and how they can help individuals become their best selves. As I help others heal, I am learning and healing myself. The things I share on social media, come from personal experiences! I work with genuine crystals and gemstones, it’s very rare you find anything costume in my shop. I want people to have one of a kind pieces that they can keep for many years.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I recently visited Tuk Tuk Thai on Peachtree St NE for my birthday. I am gluten free so I was thrilled to find a woman owned business, that catered to my dietary needs. It was delicious and the atmosphere is amazing. I am bringing my next visitors here! My family are the outdoorsy type so we frequent the Chattahoochee River and walk along the River edge. It’s relaxing and a great way to exercise. My husband is an amazing cook so we always end everyone’s visit with a huge family style dinner at our house. Most of my friends and family have children, as well, so it usually turns into dinner and a movie on the projector.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a great support system all around but my greatest supporters are my two sisters and my mother. I bounce ideas off of them almost daily. They are open and honest with suggestions and provide awesome criticism. On days when I’m not feeling it they help ground me and keep me going. I am forever appreciative of their love and support.
