We had the good fortune of connecting with CC Treadway and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi CC, what principle do you value most?
The principle that is most relevant to me is to be at one with my spirit, and that my spirit be at one with the larger spirit that is orchestrating life for everyone’s betterment. In that way, I am responding to the forces that are already at play, the forces that are natural, and I am not fighting against them, or trying to control them in any way. Some can call this God, others simply “the way it is,” others the Universe, it doesn’t matter of course. The only thing that matters is that I am in service to this way of being. As I am in service to it, I am taken care of; as I am devoted to it, my talents are put to use for the whole in the way they were designed.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I paint and sing to restore the innate goodness and truth of humankind. My work is about the connection to that which is mysterious, good and holy about us. When I sing, I open a channel to divine, angelic love so that I can remember my own beauty, and hopefully, I can transmit this to others so they too can remember. I truly believe we are all part of the same breath of spirit, that life on Earth is a miracle, and creativity is who we are. I am most proud of tuning out the demands of today’s world to experience my true nature, and then translate that into art and healing in many different ways. My struggle has always been being a sensitive in this world, expecting sweetness and nuance, but instead being overwhelmed by the harshness we all face. How do I carve out a safe space for myself and those I love? How do I find my place in a world that has forgotten itself? These questions took me to profound answers, to finding the right mentors, and becoming one myself. Ultimately, I have worked with thousands of other sensitives, helping them heal trauma, open their healing abilities and reveal their creative genius. I think this genius lies in the soft space that most people are protecting. I hope to help foster the safe space that encourages people to find this essential sweetness within. I think the arts and healing are a wonderful way to achieve that.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my teachers Barbara Brennan, Joy Adler, Rebecca Ellens, Drunvalo Melchizedek and my parents Peter and Dee Anne Treadway. I also am forever grateful for my community of musicians, artists and healers in the Hudson Valley, NY. The forest and her creatures, her mysteries and her beauty rock me to the depths of my soul and unlock the most hidden of gifts.
