We had the good fortune of connecting with Catherine Beaty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Catherine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Over the years I have always gotten questions about clothing and other pieces that I have purchased. The first question someone always ask is “How much did it cost”, and they are always surprised. I am a firm believer that you don’t have to spend a ton of money for quality items. Sometimes you just need to know the techniques to find the best deal. I absolutely LOVE shopping. It’s a passion of mine, but the biggest thing I enjoy about it is when I able to find bargains. So I thought, maybe, this is the knowledge I can provide to others so I’ve created a business to share it and hopefully inspire others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a stay at home mom. I got inspired to become a content creator so I started my YouTube channel, TheBargainholic. Starting a business is not easy, especially when you have to balance it with caring for a small child. Building a successful brand is hard work and it requires huge investments. As far as content creation, the biggest day to day issue I deal with is creating content that is enjoyable and relatable to others. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t, so having strong mental fortitude is absolutely necessary; you have to keep moving forward.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
-Monday: Milk and Honey for breakfast and then off Lenox Mall
- Tuesday: The King Center followed by the Belt Line with dinner at Gaucy Margys for Taco Tuesday
- Wednesday: Hang outTruist Park then drinks at Fat Tuesday
- Thursday: Atlantic Station followed by Ray’s on the River
- Friday: Trap Museum then Houston’s

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When you are starting a business or any journey you are always looking for some kind of support and I can honestly say that I have gotten it from EVERYONE: my husband, all of my close friends, and lots of members in my family. They have helped in many ways from telling others about the business, giving advice, and every other way they can.
