We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Payton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassie, what are you inspired by?
There are many things in life, and more specifically, in my business that inspire me. Let’s start with the biggest inspiration of all – my faith. I feel inspiration from the creator Himself, and that keeps me going. I feel inspired by my clients, what they love, where they met, their family. I feel inspired by other designers, I feel inspired by beauty and luxury, and all of the bougie things that make my soul happy. Most of all, I am inspired by love. Love is beautiful. Love is needed. With all the sufferings we experience in life, to create a day inspired by and full of love, is a truly special gift.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business is set apart in the fact that we consider our brides our BFF’s! Planning a wedding is stressful, and takes a lot, having a planner that is like a friend is important – most people tell their planner things they cannot tell their friends or family. Our florals and designs are custom to each bride, we create custom fonts, designs, and unique florals for each wedding. Our company is truly for the modern unique bride looking for a personalized experience.
Getting to the place we are now was by no means easy, I had to overcome many hurdles: staffing issues, finance issues, having clients that didn’t match my brand, working as a subcontractor for another planner, just so many things I’ve had to learn through hard lessons, but I overcame through perseverance and through my faith.
All I want people to know of me + my brand is that we truly want the best for our client’s special day!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely Velvet Taco, Spiller Park Coffee, Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market. I love to people watch, so these are fun places with good food, good coffee, and great people watching.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Weddings by Epic Jennifer played a big role in helping me learn this industry, she is committed and persevering, I learned a lot from her.
