We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Cope and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I love this question. From a very young age, I knew I was going to be an entrepreneur. From selling banned candy on the school bus in elementary to constantly creating as a child I knew I wanted to have an impact someway somehow. I was always coming up with ideas or helping my friends ideas come to fruition. I quickly found that I greatly enjoy helping others and thrive behind the scenes. In 2018, I fell in love with lifestyle design and learned a lot about my creative style and knew I wanted more out of life than being in a 9-5. In 2020, I was given the opportunity to start my marketing agency and went all in. I dyed my hair hot pink to take myself out of the traditional 9-5 candidate pool so I would stick to my plan of starting my company, Cassie Cope Consulting. My passion is fueled by helping other business owners, creatives, and personal brands create income with impact.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Cassie Cope Consulting came about in March 2020 in the peak of the pandemic. As mass layoffs were taking place, myself included, I got to work using my skill set to help other local, national, and international brands diversify their business models to remain profitable during the pandemic. I then leaned back in to my marketing skill set to create a full service marketing agency where we focus on experiential marketing, digital marketing, SEO, web design, PR/Communications, influencer acquisition & relationship management. event production, and more!

With over 10 years of experience in the marketing industry, with proven results through I’ve been able to create innovative & award winning market strategies. Working with professional sports leagues, national acts, high profile clients and corporations, along with overseeing the marketing department for a 17 million dollar entertainment & event district in front of Truist Park really gave me an elevated expertise with entertainment marketing. Some of our more exciting projects have been featured on Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, while reaching billions of people across the globe. Coming from a background of entertainment and digital strategy, our experimental & custom marketing approach for our clients is really our bread and butter. We are constantly pushing the industry standard and looking for ways to disrupt traditional marketing strategies.

Was it easy? No way; however, I do believe that if you do what you love you never work a day in your life. Seeing my clients happy are really what fuel me to keep going on days when I don’t. I’ve always been a helper end I do believe that this is my purpose and mission in life – to help others achieve their dreams. There have been unlimited lessons and challenges – with more to come as we grow. I embrace them all. Each challenge is a growth opportunity to become stronger as a team. We are always looking forward to double our impact and embrace any sort of change.

For example, I would be where I’m at today if my company didn’t lay off 90% of their employees. I truly believe it was the universe telling me “Saddle up! It’s go time.” My advice to any aspiring entrepreneur would be – never let a good crisis go to waste. Regardless of the magnitude of the situation, there are opportunities everywhere. You just have to look for them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many!

Of course my go to route for any new comer to Atlanta is to take them to the Beltline, Krog Street, Inman Park – so many great places to eat here. And of course the historic Claremont hotel – Rooftop and Lounge – they both are memorable experiences. haha

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This is a tough one. So many people supported my vision over the years to help me get to where I am today. I’d like to recognize EVERYONE who as played a roll in my journey – friends, family, mentors, past job experiences – all of these combined are what shaped me into who I am today.
