We had the good fortune of connecting with Casharee Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Casharee, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was unhappy working a job I wasn’t passionate about and knew I couldn’t continue to work an unfulfilling job for the next 30 years. Therefore, I knew I had to create the job I always wanted, to be a boutique owner. Since childhood I aspired to be a fashion designer but lost sight of that as I graduated from college and began my career in corporate America. It wasn’t until I realized how truly unhappy I was with my 9-5 that made me look deep within and ask myself, what am I truly passionate about that I would love to do everyday. That’s when I realized my childhood passion, fashion, was still there. I then began to create my brand identity. KASH Queen, a kind, ambitious, stylish, humble woman who is a go-getter. Empowering women to manifest their dreams in style.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My brand, KASH Queen is a women’s online clothing boutique. A KASH Queen represents a kind, ambitious, stylish, humble woman who is a go-getter. My brand is all about empowering women to manifest their dreams in style. My brand isn’t just here to provide stylish clothes to women, but to also encourage them to realize their worth, shine their light, think positive, and create the life they want to live. That is what sets my brand apart from other brands. I genuinely want my customers to not only look good on the outside in their stylish clothes, but to feel good about themselves and know how powerful they are and how they can literally accomplish anything they want. Whatever our mind can conceive, we can achieve. I am most excited about growing my business. Now being a year and a half into my business I can say I have learned a whole lot. My entrepreneur journey has definitely not been an easy road as I had no previous direction as to how to run an e-commerce business so I’ve pretty much learned by trial and error. I am grateful for all the mistakes I’ve made along the way because they were each a learning experience and I continue to learn everyday. I still don’t have everything all figured out but I’ve definitely come a long way. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that consistency is key. The first year of my business I would wonder why I wasn’t seeing the results I sought and it wasn’t until I had a few coaching calls with mentors and took a step back and analyzed my business that I realized I wasn’t being nearly as consistent as I should have. Consistency will look different depending on the business but for me it wasn’t until I started posting and engaging on social media platforms daily that I saw my business growing in the right direction. I want the world to know I am truly passionate about KASH Queen. Everything my brand stands for is what I genuinely care about and it’s who I truly am. A KASH Queen is a kind, ambitious, stylish, humble woman who is a go-getter. My brand is all about empowering women to manifest their dreams in style. There are a plethora of women going after their dreams and I know first hand when challenges are faced it is easy to start second guessing yourself but I’m here to tell every woman YOU GOT THIS QUEEN! Dream it. Plan it. Execute it. Manifest your dreams and look good while doing so!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to 55th and Park for brunch, we would visit the aquarium, the APEX Museum, the ferris wheel, the bars on Peter Street, double date at Sun Dial Restaurant

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my amazing family and friends. They were the first ones to support my business and still to this day continue to not only support my boutique by making purchases but they also regularly share my social media posts, tag me in other influencers’ posts and always show me love. To all my family, friends, facebook friends, IG followers, I love and appreciate you all.
