Meet Carmon Mello | Artist & Owner of The Connectwork Sound publishing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carmon Mello and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carmon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my drive. I don’t get tired like Kevin Gates! I keep my will strong to constantly push, strive, and move forward. Like the late great nipsey hustle said, it’s a marathon and not a race! When you want something bad enough it doesn’t matter how long it take to get it; there’s great reward when that mission is completed.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been singing literally as far back as I can remember. I’ve always enjoyed performing. I performed in school, church, and even held my own “showcases” with my dad and his friends making them watch me sing, dance, act, ect… I truly dare to be different. I have a energy and presence that draws people in. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and I’m a workaholic! There’s no limit to the things i can do! The thing i am most proud of whether it’s me performing or planning a concert is that I’m always involved in something. I have always been a good networker, and able to get into rooms and spaces that i never expected to. Being a mom is probably the most challenging aspect about being a career woman and/or pursuing dreams. Wanting to present at certain times but can’t be because i have my kids and Vice versus not wanting to miss anything with your kids but having career obligations. Through everything the biggest thing I’ve learned was not to swear it. Duality is inevitable. Good and bad are a part of life and you have to have one with the other. I’m a firm believer that Once you master that mental state of acceptance and resilience, you are untouchable and unstoppable.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, I would book us a dope Air b n b in the city, preferably with a balcony with a view of the city skyline. With a week long trip, the options are limitless. We would have to eat at busy bees, spondivits, rosie cafe, dantannas, and frost bistro. Atl is known for the nightlife so we would definitely have to hit revel, or opium. I would ensure we do brunch at milk and honey. About hour or so outside of Atlanta is chateau elan resort, and we would absolutely spend some time there to relax and be pampered. I’ve done so much networking that I’ve acquired a cool circle of people who have all type of events going on from day parties, kickbacks, concerts and showcases, ect we will literally have something to do everyday!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to the most high first and foremost. For gifting me the gifts and purpose I have in and for this world! I would not be where I am without the love and support of my Dad, Best friend Bluey Millz, and Dj J Gold ! Everyone who was a part of the launch of the connectwork 901 concert series are definitely held in a special place in my heart! No one is self made! …
